I attended the March for Life this year (as I have for the past 10 years, with the exception of the year 2000), and to say that the senator's appearance drew "an enthusiastic response" is an understatement. I was 2 blocks away from the main stage, and Brownback definitely got the biggest cheer of the speakers.

Someone who is a full-time pro-life activist was at the march and also at a lot of events connected with the march, and he said Brownback was at every single one.
When I said, But Brownback is against the surge, he brushed it off. Okay, maybe he gets to be a single-issue voter because of his profession, but not I.
