Did any of these personalities profit from their deceptions? All of this is very difficult to follow. Sounds like someone started out with a few lies about themselves and it snowballed into a twisted web that the original poster could not keep up with.

Coalition Angel may be the one to answer that because she apparently spent some money sending things to someone this Dale Peters claimed was his son. Whether Peters ever profited from this may be difficult to prove, however.

Yes, this is very difficult to follow. I've had one heck of a time trying to figure out what little I really know (or should I say 'think' I know). And 'twisted web' is maybe even a simplistic description for all this. Sheesh!!

Well, that wasn't what happened in my case. Our local paper, The Bee simply took the obit I wrote along with the picture I digitized and sent them and published it for free.

There isn't a funeral director for a cremation, just a sleazy sales guy trying to guilt you into buying an overpriced urn. I kind of liked the solution in the Big Lebowsky.

Other then that, the "sentence" doesn't really make sense. If she wasn't in the middle of something else would she fact check her friend? And what does the "true" in parenthesis mean? Is it true that she doesn't fact check her friends even if she isn't in the middle of something else or she doesn't fact check her true friends even if she is in the middle of something else?

Hope her parents didn't waist money on college for her. Or high school. Maybe she just went to elementary school for the free breakfasts?

Sheeesh! Is right! I have read the posts between you and Angel (is Angel another invented personality) and have read some of the posts linked to on KoS, it is very convoluted. I guess my question, "Did any of these personalities profit from their deceptions", was meant to imply if this was/is just words floating around the web/blog sphere ... then another big "Sheesh" is in order for all the attention it seems to have generated. And as interest is generated this Nadin person just happens to pop in (having heard something was posted about her mother). How does one "just" hear about postings about ones family? Same with Angel on this thread????

Regarding Angel, it was she that someone referred to in a post (maybe #56?) about her being scammed by this Dale character. Then all of a sudden she pops up in this thread with a post to me. I found that curious. But that's all I know.

As for Dale and Nadine, I was thinking of something else a little while ago. Here it goes, even though I haven't taken it all the way through to conclusion...so poke holes in it at will:

There's all this debate about Dale using different sock puppets/split personalities, whatever. What if...what if Dale does have severe emotional problems and has been involved in some scams including this one initially, as well as buming out his wife/x-wife's family over the years? Now, what if Nadine found out about this and has herself become a sock puppet as Dale, using his identity to rip him a new one, then coming out as herself to add the finishing touches? Do you follow me? Could all this most recent activity be an attempt by her to retaliate against the man who 'took her mother' from her?

Yeah, I know; that's really out there, too. But hey, it's no more weird than all this other nonsense we've read today.

I've spent money on his son but nothing ever reached him because everything returned. It took the packages 4-5 months to return. Postage was lost, but most of the things I've sent were usable for other packages to other Soldiers.

I do not know if he rose any funds though...

Coalition Angel, You have my deepest apology for doubting your intentions here. This is a very strange and convoluted story. It seems this Dale guy has been very devious and I am sorry you and your organization have had a negative experience with him.

You might want to visit Free Republic and contribute your thoughts more often. Let everyone here know about the good work you and your organization are doing.

Red_Devil 232, if I have time I'd be honoured. The Dale Peters case brought me back to USMILNET because I was contacted by Wade who has written the Diary on Dkos. So I took time to do some research.

That is the reason I highly doubt "this Dale Peters" involvement into support.

When I see of how much time I have.. there is no time to post on different forums, blogs and other sites because you have to answer DOZENS of emails from Soldiers, Vets, Angels, other Supporters.

Dale also stated he had a business.
Let me tell you something. I have a regular 20 hour job, and I work between 30-50 hours for Coalition Angels weekly.

Actively supporting Troops and/or Veterans eats too much time as you could spend time on forums and blogs.

You may spend time on one forum, the forum of your organization to post updates and projects, to get people involved...

IF DALE PETERS EVER WAS THE REPUBLICAN HEAD of Veteran for Progress, IF HE WAS ever involved into ANY other activities of ANY OTHER Organization... HE NEVER EVER would have had ANY time to post on SO MANY different Forums.

What she is telling you is the truth. This fool tried this shit last year with us. He was automatically called on it when he said a damn bouncing betty only loosened his intestines. Also when he posted a pic in a pic thread people didn't think he looked old enough. Then he lied about his son, using a pic from CNN saying that WAS his son. He's a f'n fraud.
