While Drudge and everyone else is caught up in Obamamania, Tancredo throws his hat in the race as well.

Who the hell do you think you're talking to; he won against HILLARY.In reply 73, I posted the FR poll results of Tancredo versus several other Republicans. He won it. I would be really interested in the results of a newer FR poll that polls only Republicans currently with exploratory committees The Hunter/Paul/Tancredo split would be of particular interest to me.

Semantics? Can you explain?
To: editor-surveyor
Semantics? Can you explain?Look over the last fifth or so of this thread. I spent way too much time arguing over word games. Just warning you from going down the same maddening path.

You claimed that Tancredo is unpopular on FR.73 percent of the people here voted against him.
Perhaps a clue would be in order?

That was a bit rude.
That doesn't mean that 73% of freepers dislike him.
I personally voted for Mike Pence in that particular poll and I still like Tancredo a lot. If you were to poll me now, I'd easily go with Hunter over Tancredo.
Just a few posts ago, arguably the most anti-Tancredo poster on this forum said that he is popular amongst freepers.

That was a bit rude.Ruder than insulting our collective intelligence by insisting Tancredo "won" a poll he lost?

Ruder than insulting our collective intelligence by insisting Tancredo "won" a poll he lost? Who would you consider the winner of the poll in post 73?

The great majority of freepers like Tancredo. He won a FR sidebar straw poll several months ago. Wow, that's good news!

"

You take pessimism to new depths.I was thinking after I posted this, Rick Perry had 61% of Texans vote against him in November. Did he "lose"? Did Clinton "lose" in '92?

There is only one 'con' to Tom, and it admittedly is a big one: He doesn't have instant campaign cash like the criminals do. His other "fault", as far as the GOP is concerned, is that he's NOT a member of the Washington globalist boy's club. That's a BIG PLUS for America. I'll vote for him if he runs.

Howlin is not a logician; Howlin is a propagandist.

"
George Bush continues to ignore the borders and the illegal alien invasion against the wishes of American citizens/taxpayers. I voted for him thinking he might be the hope for a better America in many ways, but I was wrong." I'm confident that we wouldn't have a repeat of that sentiment with Tom!
To: codercpc
It will only split the conservative vote in the Primary, which is kind of the idea behind the Primaries anyway. It still could have adverse consequences. Suppose there are two conservatives (including Tancredo) plus McCain. That would result in a McCain nomination, which would be an unmitigated disaster for both the country and the party.
To: Patrick1
Okay..I don't like McCain he is an MSM ass kisser who has problems with free speech. Not an ideal candidate. The others have problems also, but come on, Duncan Hunter! I agree with you. Hunter is not a viable candidate. The only viable alternative is Romney. While not perfect, he's much better than McCain on just about everything. He's got a strong record of fiscal discipline, as a financial professional he is far better qualified to deal with our looming entitlement crisis, he's done more to stop the homosexual agenda in his 4 years as governor than McCain has in his entire political career, he's strong on border security, strongly against embryonic stem cell research, and yes, he's prolife, albeit a recent convert tot he cause. McCain must be stopped at all costs. I fear a Tancredo candidacy will jeopardize that. Romney's not bad, and he can actually win.
To: pissant
There is nothing wrong with splitting the conservative vote. There's nothing wrong with it if your goal is to get McCain the nomination.
To: curiosity
Uh, so far, I'm looking for ONE conservative contender in the primary.
