After reading about shredders and acid, though, it seems to me that wishing for his immense suffering does not serve us well.

We are not suicidal. We are more than practical and take every measure to protect our children and our homes. When Saddam struck at Israel in 1991, he was striking at the US. We were wearing gas masks then, preparing for the worst. But it was only terrorism at its best.
Hanging Saddam will not create fear in the hearts and minds of Arabs. As Israelis we know this. We live in the Mid-East. It will only polarize the moderates. And where will the Sunni Islamic terrorists strike - Israel! We have enough on our plate with Iran and Syria - we did not need a public showcase hanging! Saddam should have died from hemorrhoids ;>
I think they should lay him on the ground and put a piece of plywood over him with a hole right over the genital area. Gently place his testicles thorugh the hole and let Tiger Woods tee off on them.

So what? I'm pretty sure Saddam isn't Catholic. One hanging doesn't seem near enough to me. They ought to shave his beard and head and hang him over burning coals. I have no problem with killing him like he did so many thousands. Then when he's dead cut him down with a sword at the neck.
Yea! I'm so angry with those who would spare his life. I guess I'd accept that if they planted him in a cesspool until he begged to die and then leave him there. Why shouldn't he pay here for what he did here. Who elected him a special exempt criminal? He sealed his eternal fate by saying "no" to Jesus Christ. We don't have the right to be lenient when God won't be.
