Click your START button and then go to RUN:

type services.msc in the dialog box...

Click OK...

Make sure these are started/enabled (if they're listed):

- ASP.NET State Service

- COM+ Event System

- DCOM Server Process Launcher

- Network Connections

- Network DDE DSDM

- Network Location Awareness (NLA)

- SSDP Discovery Service

Reboot and see if this resolves your problem.

Keep us posted.

- ASP.NET State Service BLANK

- COM+ Event System STARTED

- DCOM Server Process Launcher STARTED

- Network Connections STARTED

- Network DDE DSDM BLANK

- Network Location Awareness (NLA) STARTED

- SSDP Discovery Service STARTED

QUESTION: How do you get the ones that are BLANK to be STARTED?

I went to each one of these and started them all EXCEPT Network DDE DSDM (it did not allow me the option to do it - instead it said if the service is stopped, DDE network shares will be unavailable and that any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.

How do you get it into the STARTED mode?
