I guess you would counter, though, that Lieberman does not "echo your cause." But Joe did run--and win (the slayer of your beloved Ned Lament)--as an independent and he does "appeal to the more moderate or conservative" Democrats.
You can't have it both ways, DUmmies. If someone echoes your MOONBAT "cause," he or she will NOT appeal to moderates and conservatives.

I also want to add, regarding the Democratic party as a "big tent," it's clear from the poll posted above that the liberal wing of the Democratic party is dead in the middle of the American political spectrum. The MSM and both political parties have drifted way right over the last thirty years, but the American people have not.
