Don't shop at Wal-Mart! John didn't. He sent his lackey to get him something for free.
To: PJ-Comix
I believe this staffer was acting alone, hoping to get one for himself. With the money Edwards has, he can easily snag one on ebay for a couple grand. Edwards spending $2,000 on anything is like most of the rest of us spending 50 cents on a news paper. I don't believe he would risk a political dust up over a game console at wal mart of all places. I'm sure this was a staffer acting on their own using their affiliation with Edwards to get an upper hand.

why would anybody working for John Edwards consider shopping at Wal-mart? 1) Wal-Mart has PlayStations.
2) John Edwards wanted a PlayStation.
3) John Edwards did not want to stand in line.

[Somehow I think it is time to update that song from South Pacific---"You've Got To Be Carefully Taught." ...Calling a certain Lutheran songmeister!!!] Somehow I think it's time for a certain Lutheran songmeister (still recovering from surgery) to go to bed! It's got to be wakefully writ!

Same quality? No way. Mine was worse.
Sometimes those "first" posts just get to me. My way of protesting.

What is striking about the smear is the way a corporation feels free to publicize something that a customer did, and to use it as a flat-out, blatant, organized smear campaign. Were I to speak with this Dummie, I would ask him the following: Let's say Bud day writes to John Kerry and says "I didn't really earn some of the medals I've got...can you help me cover it up?" What, O wise DUmmie, do you think Kerry would do with that? Well, Edwards has been making Wal-Mart out to be scum, and now he wants special "rich America" favors from them to make the zone under his Christmas tree nicer. Same difference.

That is an official Wal-Mart statement! Have you ever heard anything like that from a company? Is this the business Wal-Mart is in? What right does a corporation have to issue a statement like that about any citizen? Yeah, you'd think there was freedom of speech or something!

hey folks sen. edwards is a threat to corporate america. they can't swift boat the man so they come out with this stuff. Why can't they swift boat him? Because he got a deferment. Of course, that didn't stop John Kerry from calling deferment recipients cowards in his presence at campaign rallies. Edwards just grinned and clapped.

It takes courage to go against a giant like Wal-Mart and against all the multi-nationals.BWAHAHAHAHA! What a dingbat. It takes no courage whatsoever to trash Wal-Mart; all the dems do it, and quite a few "don't buy anything made in China" FReepers hop on that bandwagon, as well. This guy/girl/whatever is dreaming of Communist Russia, where criticism of any institution was a death warrant. To the contrary, this is the land of the First Amendment, where everyone has the right to stand up in public and be just as stupid as he or she possibly can. And I think Edwards, and this guy/girl/whatever, have made it right to the top.

"Is this a company that ought to have its right to operate examined, or what?"
What more needs to be said about this dummie? America's a goner when half the country's votes align with this nut.

"What is disgusting to me, if you read the whole Edwards rant, is that he has already taught his 6 year old to make fun of poor kids who have to buy shoes at discount stores. His hypocracy over the PS3 Wal-mart incident pales in the face of the boorish snobbery in his child which he is so proud of."
I wonder if Edward's kid pets the disabled kids too.
