IF YOU LIKE RUDY -- YOU WEREN'T LISTENING!!

Based on many comments I have recently read after Rudy Guiliani announced formation of an Exploratory Committee, it is obvious that there are many marginally republican voters who really don't care about conservative principles or about the health and life of the GOP. Many, sadly, have a win at all costs attitude, and that is exactly why we now are the minority party in both houses of Congress. We do not have to elect, and should not elect, a Rudy RINO Republican.

It's not just that Rudy Guiliani is not a conservative, he's not even close. Bush is twice is conservative, and he's a moderate by any objective analysis.

Rudsy is another BIG GOVERNMENT, CORPORATE MONEY, SOCIAL LIBERAL. Look at the brief record:

1. He's pro gay rights and has marched in the gay pride parade in NYC on many occasions.

2. He's not jsut pro-abortion, he's pro-partial birth abortion.

3. He's pro-embryonic stem cell research.

4. He opposes immigration and border control.

5. He would sacrifice the human rights of Christians in China and other oppressive regimes to satisfy the corportate crowd.

6. He's party of the high-ball, country clubbin, lobbyist crowd that has corrupted both parties.

7. He not only had a very public affair -- he shcked up with the whore in Gracey Mansion for pete's sake and was unapologetic.

If you want to know why the voters aren't voting GOP, it's because we let folks like Rudy take the party for a ride we don't want and don't really support.

And this is not just about one or two issues that conservatives differ with Rudy on. These are significant, weighty, life-altering issues that really matter!!!

Can me a disgruntled conservative, but I have had my fill of Arnold, the Bushes, Specter, Chafee, and the whole northeast liberal RINO crowd.

I have been a substantial donor to the party and have set up numerous campaigns and performed legal work for many GOP candidates. But if the party allows itself to be seduced by the likes of Rudy Guilliani or others of his ilk, that's a trip I won't be taking. I won't vote for Hillary, but I will stay home. At that point, there's really no difference in what the parties are offering.

I want to win and crush the Rats- fiscal conservatism and the WOT are my issues. I don't need, nor do I want, the Feds dictating my personal life.

Funny. It's the liberals who you support, consciously or not, who will do far more to invade your personal life than any real conservative will ever do.

Well you can worry and fret about abortion, like you have my whole life, until the bad guys kick your front door down. They dont care what the wording of the pledge is.

THANK YOU! You are reinforcing MY point! Rudy will take our guns away, and we will not be able to defend ourselves. You own a fire extinguisher, right? Why? Becuase the fire department is 10+ minutes away? Well i'll bet the police station is right next door to the fire station. You saying we should wait 10 minutes for Rudy's supercops to come protect us? No thanks, I'd like to keep both my fire extinguisher AND my right to self defense.

Think about it, Rudy doesn't agree with the SECOND ammenment to the constitution, a constitution he would give lip service to 'supporting and defending'. The framers made it second, ahead of every ammendment except the right to free speech.

Say NO to RUDY!

Because this country is not "ultra-conservative".

The same arguments that were used against Ronald Reagan.

What a surprise! /s

I think the left is pushing McCain, precisely because he would be the easiest to beat for Hillary

I listen to the Left very closely, and trust me: they don't want Hillary either. They consider her venal and opportunistic, and her continued support for the Iraq War has compounded their anger with her. She'll never get out of the primaries---they call her a DINO for pete's sake (LOL)

Sure, let's nominate an ultra conservative, so Hillary can beat him by 60/30 margin. Brilliant idea. (/sarcasm)

So, instead we'll nominate two liberals. That way voters will get a choice: Hillary or the other liberal.

If the Republicans can't nominate someone who's even *close* to being a conservative, they deserve the drubbing they'll get.

I just can't believe so many of you are rushing to criticize Giuliani, but not a word of criticism against Pelosi, Murtha, Hillary.

None of those are prospective Republican presidential nominees.

Rudy is good on law and order, and that is the most conservative issue of all.

You mean like the Sullivan Law?

Callous disergard for fundamental rights won't fly in flyover country. The RKBA is far more important here than New Yorkers seem to realize.

PS. Some may think that McCain can beat Hillary, I totally disagree. I think the left is pushing McCain, precisely because he would be the easiest to beat for Hillary.

The Left would eat McCain alive. Can we say "Keating Five", folks? "Culture of Corruption" would be their mantra and the dhimmis would gain even more seats in Congress.

And McChurian is 20 times worse.

And Shrillery is 500 times worse.

And . . .

Therefore?

You should at least admit that you are a small minority. If you want to advocate for an issue, do, but following politics is different. In case you have not noticed, dems have moved to moderate on guns so they don't lose.

I lived most of my life in fly over country. It is a minority issue there, too.

The Republicns who lost, for the most part had shifted to the left and were beaten by "Blue-Dog" Democrats who presented themselves as more conservative than their opponents.

Get a hint.

People vote candidates, too, not just party line.

Arrogantly assuming that Republicans, especially the Southern ones to whom Conservative issues are paramount, are going to vote for a New York Liberal running on the Republican ticket is a sure loser.

Why do you think Hillary has been morphing to the Right for the last year or two???

Rudy will take our guns away,

PLEEEEEEEEEEEZE! Enough of the hysteria. Let the Congress take your guns away before you squawk.

We know Rudy's a good man to have in a crisis. -- And what is the Presidency after all - nothing but one long crisis after another.

'...any, sadly, have a win at all costs attitude..."
Against hillary such an attitude is more than justified - it is absolutely proper and necessary. Not for nothing Falwell said that in comparison with her even Lucifer is preferable. And Giuliani is no Lucifer. Neither is McCain.

Hard to tell from an urban condo. Either the GOP supports RKBA, or it gets used to losing. I will crawl over broken glass to vote for a real conservative, but Rudy will never qualify.
