IF YOU LIKE RUDY -- YOU WEREN'T LISTENING!!
11-13-06 | cww

Posted on 11/13/2006 7:47:14 PM PST by CWW

Based on many comments I have recently read after Rudy Guiliani announced formation of an Exploratory Committee, it is obvious that there are many marginally republican voters who really don't care about conservative principles or about the health and life of the GOP. Many, sadly, have a win at all costs attitude, and that is exactly why we now are the minority party in both houses of Congress. We do not have to elect, and should not elect, a Rudy RINO Republican.

It's not just that Rudy Guiliani is not a conservative, he's not even close. Bush is twice is conservative, and he's a moderate by any objective analysis.

Rudsy is another BIG GOVERNMENT, CORPORATE MONEY, SOCIAL LIBERAL. Look at the brief record:

1. He's pro gay rights and has marched in the gay pride parade in NYC on many occasions.

2. He's not jsut pro-abortion, he's pro-partial birth abortion.

3. He's pro-embryonic stem cell research.

4. He opposes immigration and border control.

5. He would sacrifice the human rights of Christians in China and other oppressive regimes to satisfy the corportate crowd.

6. He's party of the high-ball, country clubbin, lobbyist crowd that has corrupted both parties.

7. He not only had a very public affair -- he shcked up with the whore in Gracey Mansion for pete's sake and was unapologetic.

If you want to know why the voters aren't voting GOP, it's because we let folks like Rudy take the party for a ride we don't want and don't really support.

And this is not just about one or two issues that conservatives differ with Rudy on. These are significant, weighty, life-altering issues that really matter!!!

Can me a disgruntled conservative, but I have had my fill of Arnold, the Bushes, Specter, Chafee, and the whole northeast liberal RINO crowd.

I have been a substantial donor to the party and have set up numerous campaigns and performed legal work for many GOP candidates. But if the party allows itself to be seduced by the likes of Rudy Guilliani or others of his ilk, that's a trip I won't be taking. I won't vote for Hillary, but I will stay home. At that point, there's really no difference in what the parties are offering.

"Just my opinion of course but I believe republicans who were dissatisfied with Bush Sr. gave us Bill Clinton by voting for Ross Perot.

If that's what you mean by your statement then I agree."

That is exactly what I meant. Talking about going from the frying pan into the fire.

Find a party more suited to meeting your demands, as it doesn't sound like the GOP is for you.

That is the scared mentality that allows 2 partys of Republicrats to run against each other promising virtually the same end result.

Perot could have won but the media started attacking his family. Few people have the stomach to put up with that kind of scare tactic. The people we have elected now can virtually stand up in their ivory towers and fend off criticizm unless someone within the circle determines it is time for someone to go.
That alone stands in the way for people who desire to challenge the current ivy league of congress.
Also fund raising is a problem for newbies, virtually guaranteeing incumbents unlimeted access to funds, while restricting fund raising for newbies. if one is not endorsed by one of two partys they are pretty much shunned.

Who said about running Constitution party for president anyhow? The revoloution has to start with congress.

They HAVE to take the money if available. It is suicide and defeat if they don't.
I agree the movement has to start with congress, one state at a time.

Why not wait and hear the guy out first?

Actions speak louder than words.

He can say anything, it is an election.

His track record erases his Conservative credibility with me.

The time to get the candidate we want is in the primaries.

Absolutely, but the MSM will still try to choose for us. They've got the propaganda machine. He who controls communication controls the world.
Media bias has to be brought to voters attention loooong before 2008 so they're aware enough to notice it when they see it.

There are only three legitimate candidates; McCain, Giuliani and Romney. Who do you want?

Sure, let's annoint some out-of-touch nanny-conservative to lose to the Hildabeast. Unbelieveable.

What is unbelievable is that folks like you even bother posting on a conservative site, or that Rudy Giuliani even bothers to pretend that he's a Republican.

Rudy is good on law and order

Huh??? Well maybe he is if he happens to agree with the law.

Under Giuliani, New York was an illegal alien sanctuary and "America's Mayor" actually sued the federal government in an effort to keep New York City employees from having to cooperate with the INS:

"When Congress enacted immigration reform laws that forbade local governments from barring employees from cooperating with the INS, Mayor Rudy Giuliani filed suit against the feds in 1997. He was rebuffed by two lower courts, which ruled that the sanctuary order amounted to special treatment for illegal aliens and were nothing more than an unlawful effort to flaunt federal enforcement efforts against illegal aliens. In January 2000, the Supreme Court rejected his appeal, but Giuliani vowed to ignore the law."

None of the above. I don't vote for the enemies of life and liberty, no matter how much they dissemble to try and fool the weakminded and the ignorant.

"Don't get screwed by RINOs again!"

===

You seem to prefer to be screwed by jackasses, like Murtha and Pelosi, not to mention Hillary, who is already talking about resurrecting her socialized medicine for all. Great choice! :(

Well you can worry and fret about abortion, like you have my whole life, until the bad guys kick your front door down. They dont care what the wording of the pledge is.

What brillian conservative strategy (/sarc)

Yep. Almost as smart as running someone as a "Conservative" who aligns with the liberal candidate on lynchpin issues such as abortion, gun control, gay marriage, etc.

That is so smart, I must admit to not being intellectually capable of understanding it.

But what do I know? I'm just a rock scientist.

(That's right, "rock" with no E.T. More down to Earth that way.)

I'd rather not have any of the candidates that are currently being shoved down our throats. I know that a SOLID conservative is a difficult find in a state like California, but there are much better potential candidates than Rudy, and it's way too early to annoint him the choice of the people.

Myself, I'd rather not have anyone being pushed from either coast.

The focus should be finding the best possible nominee to beat Hillary.

Anyone not focused on that is handing victory to Hillary without a fight.

PS. Some may think that McCain can beat Hillary, I totally disagree. I think the left is pushing McCain, precisely because he would be the easiest to beat for Hillary.

Wouldn't you vote for an ultra-conservative over Hillary? What makes you think a majority would not do so?

Because this country is not "ultra-conservative".

And it gets less so every day (if the swelling ranks young people who voted against the GOP in the last election are any indication)
