Michael Steele’s sister and Stem Cell Research
theanchoressonline ^ | 10/28/06

STEELE: I’m Michael Steele, and I approve this message.

TURNER: I’m Dr. Monica Turner.

Congressman Ben Cardin is attacking Michael Steele with deceptive, tasteless ads. He is using the victim of a terrible disease to frighten people all for his own political gain.

Mr. Cardin should be ashamed.

There’s something you should know about Michael Steele. He does support stem cell research, and he cares deeply for those who suffer from disease.

How do I know? I’m Michael Steele’s little sister.

I have MS, and I know he cares about me.

I saw this on my set this AM. It's good. I hope it puts him over the top in this tight election.

Wait a second...I thought everyone here is against stem cell research. So now Steele says he's for it and you're happy???? I'm truly confused.

As someone with a disability, I find Micheal J. Fox's behavior to be personally offensive.

I would prefer to remain in a wheelchair rather than walk at the expense of my belief that embryonic stem cell research is the unnecessary destruction of life.

He is, IMHO, either a fool being used as a tool or a willing accomplice to an outright deception.

Hubby and I heard this on the radio yesterday while out running errands.......not knowing what was coming, it was absolutely incredible.

Then later we heard Rush talking about it.

I do agree. We have to off as many children as possible.

I hear if you drink their blood you can become immortal.

But some people with debilitating diseases don't fall for snake oil pitches.

We're getting rather weary of your repeated sidebar abuse. Continued abuses like placing blog material in FR Frontpage is only gonna land you a suspension. You've been warned for the last time.

Rest assured if Michael thought his neighbors adult stem cells would cure him, he'd favor forced flensing and decanting of whoever could be caught.

Some of us are against EMBRYONIC stem cell research.

The only promise and results have been with ADULT stem cell research. Big difference.

I thought everyone here is against stem cell research.

Most people here are against embryonic stem cell research, which creates a human entity just to use it for research and destroy it. Michale steele is against that too, and it has shown the promise of exactly zero cures.

Nobody opposes stem cell research that doesn't require the use of human embryos, such as core blood, umbilical, and adult stem cells. But Fox (and by his sponsorship of Fox's message, the dishonest Mr. Cardin) imply that Steel opposes ALL such research. Yet Mr. Cardin voted against a bill for stem cell research that didn't involve human embryos -- a bill that passed the Senate 100-0, meaning that even Maryland's ultraleftist Senatorthings Mikulaksi (the Screaming Meatball) and Sarbanes (Sourbrains) voted for it.

Does the fact that the Dimmycrap nominee for teh Senate is a flaming hypocrite and liar surprise you?

But wasn't Fox's ad for embryonic stem cell research?

Ah...there you go again.

Steele supports ADULT stem cell research which is something a lot of Conservatives here are for, unlike Mr. Cardin and yourself who support the embryonic kind. Thanks for your input.

Show me where I EVER said I support embryonic stem cell research. I don't...and I either ask you to show me where I've said that or give me an apology.
