The Political Abuse of Blacks by the Democrat Party
Project21 ^ | October 25 2006 | trueblackman

I have always been perplexed by the political relationship between the Democrat Party and the Black Community.

I view this relationship as being similar to that of an abusive boyfriend who punches his girlfriend in her face, throws her down the stairs and then walks over her twitching carcass, but in this relationship he can remain comfortable in the knowledge that she will never leave him and in the end find everyway possible to blame herself, since he has convinced her she has nowhere else to go and as another election approaches the beloved boyfriend is knocking on Black Community’s door singing sweet nothings all the while cracking his knuckles, palming his fists and checking his shoes before the door opens.

Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean claimed recently that “The Democratic Party was the party of opportunity for people of color,” but isn’t this hypocritical coming from a former Governor who in his 12 years could not find one competent Black in the State of Vermont to serve in any inner cabinet position or even better yet the Chairmanship that he now holds was in fact stolen from Maynard Jackson by his fellow liberals, who punched him in the face, threw him down the stairs and marched Terry McAuliffe over his twitching carcass. They felt that Jackson had gotten too uppity in thinking that 90% of the Black Vote for Al Gore in 2000 would transpire into him leading the Democrat party and made a clear example of Jackson as a warning to other Blacks who dare think the same way. Maynard Jackson would eventually drop dead in Reagan National Airport after taking yet another flight that brought him to D.C. for yet another fight with the party’s leadership over its treatment of Blacks. The list of victims goes on and on at a local, state and national level.

Ultra-liberal Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi made an example of Ford after he thought he could become minority leader following the 2004 elections, older members of the CBC even berated Ford for his foolhardy stunt as he laid there twitching while Pelosi and her allies walked over his carcass.

One would think that in a Democrat state like Maryland that a Black Democrat Senatorial Candidate would be assured, however even with a resume as impressive as Kweisi Mfume’s happens to be it was still was not enough to convince White Democrats to join Blacks in voting for him. Democrats for all their talk about being progressive and diverse would not ever consider pulling the lever for a Blackman for Senate.

Mfume even chided the state party for the lack of diversity on the ticket stating that the ticket looked more like one from 1956 than 2006. Mr. Dean later claimed that Mfume’s statement was not indicative of the party, but what did Mfume expect? I mean the Democrat establishment at the state and national level never took his candidacy seriously and never felt threaten by Mfume and a few rouge Black Voters because in the end they are still going to vote Democrat no matter who the candidate is. This is the same state party that refused to even consider a Black for Lt. Governor in 2002 in a state full of Blacks, so in the end, Mfume learned his lesson the hard way, twitching face down at the bottom of the stairs with their choice of Ben Cardin being marched over his carcass and Steny Hoyer’s recent comments concerning Republican Senatorial Candidate Michael Steele(who happens to be Black) to a mostly Black crowd was really a warning to remind Black Voters in Maryland that they are expected to vote for the Maryland Democratic Party choice and no discontent will be tolerated. That Mr. Mfume may have indeed been the choice of Black Voters, but Blacks are seen as nothing more than “come alongs to get alongs” whose votes are already cast long before Election Day, while the real power resides with the like Dean, Hoyer and Cardin.

For Blacks Voters nationwide it’s “political monkey time,” as the shiny objects of the “Clintons, Barack Obama and Jesse Jackson” will be bussed, but Black Democrats will be in need of smell salts, aspirin and band-aids once the election is over. Democrats Black and voters will once again be relegated to the bottom of the stairs in the Democrat Party House and the like of Dean, Hoyer, Pelosi, Reid and Cardin will be responsible again.

No, why is it your last op-ed? You can say a lot with your ability with words. What would make you stop sharing your opinion?

Most of African Americans that I know are church going, God Fearing folks. I find it amazing how the party that supports secularism, getting God off money, God out of schools, supports the homosexual Agenda, abortion on demand, atheism, the party that has a prior Klansman as an active Senator from WV actually keeps these Americans as a voting block... Simply amazing how the liberal hypnosis actually works... When they finally do get power back and institute Corvee labor... well I guess then the minorities will understand the real deal.

Good to see your work again, my friend. Your cause of reality in the Black community and in the government will be well served if Steele wins in Maryland and Ford loses in Tennessee. Looks like that might be the outcome.

It took me nearly 2 weeks

That's pretty good compared to me.

If I wasn't doing this on a computer, I'd kill a tree with all the rewrites I sometimes do on a silly little 3 paragraph FR post.

Speaking of killing trees, I have to stop every so often and be amazed at what PCs have done for word processing, let alone communication, or the world as a whole. I sometimes wonder what it's like for the current generation (of the industrialized parts of the world).

They've grown up entirely with PCs, never having seen a typewriter, or even knowing what carbon paper or whiteout is for. I can still remember getting a slight buzz off the chemicals while hand cranking out the high school student newspaper on a Gestetner machine (Hey, I wasn't in the Newspaper Club just for the chicks).

I doubt most kids in the US today appreciate what they have, which is probably why so many of them keep blindly voting for "feel good" Democrats.

Anyway, I wasn't trivializing your essay or Mona's book, just mentioning it as interesting further reading on this topic. It looks like it took Ms. Charen 2 years write her book, and she writes for a living. Also, I was already depressed for a lot of other reasons besides the subject matter of her book.

Appeasement followed the 68 riots. The cities were ceded to certain "leaders" who became extortionists lining their pockets. This seems normal to Democrats who make similar deals with big city bosses and labor unions. By the way, that is how Carter dealt with NK. He bribed them. I think that must be what they mean when they say we should talk to enemy countries. Just pay them off. By the way, they are also very chintsy when it comes to individuals.
