Tom Kean Jr. attacks Limbaugh over Michael J. Fox's Stem Cell Ad

Tuesday, Mark Levin discussed Tom Kean Jr's comments about Rush Limbaugh.

I'm with Mark. I would rather see the Democrat win the race than a Republican who is that liberal!

(Mountainside, NJ) – U.S. Senate candidate Tom Kean, Jr. released the following statement today regarding recent remarks made by Rush Limbaugh: “I categorically denounce the inappropriate and outrageous claims made by Rush Limbaugh on his radio show today. Parkinson’s is a horrible disease that ravages the human body, and to belittle someone suffering with the disease has no place in politics.

I believe the science of stem cell research holds immeasurable potential that might one day provide a cure for such a horrible disease. The promise of stem cell research is great, and I strongly believe the federal government should fund stem cell research, with a system of comprehensive ethical oversight.”

I'll know who to thank when the RATs are in control, then.

As I posted at the end of the Levin thread last night. If Kean is the lesser of two evils, then a vote for him is still better than a vote for Mendenez-today, tomorrow, next week and next year.
Remember, this is not the Democratic Party of the last generation. This party is totally screwed up now and we must keep the majority on Nov. 7th.
Sometimes you just have to hold your nose while you're voting.

Fudd Fan, just curious, if you lived in Arizona, would you vote for John McCain?

Do you want to add Tom Kean Jr. to this list?

Yes we lived through 50 years of democrat control, and what did that get us?

*High taxes
*Massive welfare
*Deteriorating schools
*The loss of Vietnam because a democrat Congress pulled funding from the South Vietnam government
*The killing fields of Cambodia
*North Korea armed with nukes
Iran under the control of the mullahs instead of the Shah, providing a starting point for the war on terror
*The decimation of our intelligence agencies courtesy of Frank Church and a democrat Congress
*A liberal Supreme Court that legalized abortion.

Yes, we lived through it, although millions of people in Southeast Asia didn't.

I am 58 years old, and I have 3 grandchildren that I would like to grow up in a better nation, and one that is safe from terrorism. A democrat Congress will overturn a great deal of the progress we have made and will never allow another decent judge to gain approval.

Please reconsider your vote. Kean will be better than Menenez, and may be the senator we need to keep the Senate.

hey there, you naughty things...here's my concern. We're fighting amongst ourselves. Kean comes across as opportunistic and insincere. Menendez is a crook....Menendez toes the party line all the time...Kean will do the same, some of the time.

Talk about a Hobson's choice....the clincher for me, though, is this. A vote for Menendez is a vote for The Cape Cod Orca....it's a vote for Dick Durbin and John Kerry. And it's a vote for Harry Reid....

Kean, while unquestionably a RINO, is a 50/50 shot at voting with the Republicans. Menendez wouldn't vote with the Republicans with a gun pointed to his head.

Durbin, Reid, Kennedy and Kerry are so offensive to me, that I have to look at this as a vote for Menendez is a vote for those who would place this country in mortal danger, and a vote for those who have intentionally, and for political gain, insulted and belittled our military, and have completely eshewed the sacrifice of those brave men and women who have died in Iraq & Afghanistan.

I absolutely can understand standing on principle, but by doing so, we are going to shoot ourselves in the foot, because that stand, could result in a Democrat senate and House.

I have to take the "percentage play". 50% of something, is better than 100% of nothing. Once again, we are asked to compromise. Kinda like choosing the non-fat blueberry muffin, instead of the one that tastes really, really, really, good.

Whatever you guys decide, I will respect. I ask only one thing, and since you both are my friends, and I love you both, remember who the enemy is.

Sorry about the long post...but you two are my (New) Jersey Girls...

I can't remember the last time New Jersey elected a Republican senator - I suppose Clifford Chase in the 70s. But a conservative? Maybe not since before I was born.

Again, it's a tough state to catch a break in.

Hi sofa! How are you? Thanks for understanding. I realize what is at stake; there's only so much my onscience can tolerate.

Kean is no different from Menendez. Ironically, I would support Rudy over Mccain because of my concern for the security of my nation. I just don't believe Kean would support our mission in Iraq if the polls tell him to change his mind.

Kean is running a campaign, not of ideas, but of "I'm not Menendez". He only stands for "Getting Elected No Matter What." I just can't vote for that.

By the Way--Kean won't win anyway--Jerseyites will never vote for a Republican Senator--not in a million years!

I've heard pundits describe Kean as not the brightest bulb on the tree - guess they're right.

It's interesting that we're having THIS debate right after having the "Cut & Run Conservatives" debate. I say, everyone go and vote Republican! ...unless you live in NJ, ME & RI

I'm with Mark Levin on this one. Your audio linked at the beginning of this thread says it all for me, and far more eloquently , as usual.

I'm with you sofa, getting some of your agenda (even if meager) is better than voting for NONE of your agenda.

Please don't sit out this election, conservatives. While I despair voting for rinos...the alternative is much worse. Sad to say.

Hey there stranger...I really do understand you're position.Maybe because I have FrankenFeinstein and (dumb as a) Boxer-rocks, I look at New Jersey and wish that I had your choice. Suddenly, a RINO doesn't seem so bad when I look at my two hags.

hell, we have that choice right now. Arnold isn't exactly a rock solid Conservative. He's running away from Pres Bush faster Ted kennedy can belt a scotch, and that's fast.

But look at my choice??!!!! Arnold or Angelides! I HAVE to vote for Arnold, because he isn't Angelides. Angelides would be an unmitigated disaster..Arnold just pisses me off.

I have to vote for the lesser of the 2 evils.

Anyway, enough of that. You're smart and pretty enough to make your own choice.

Meantime, your absence from the LevinLounge has been duly noted. I also note that there is no tardy slip. :-(

Hey, at least they can find a RINO who has a chance.....more of a choice than we in California have had for Senators in forever!

I don't think I'd mind holding my nose and voting for the Rino if it would help the Repubs keep control in congress...wish I had that choice. I'm with Rush on this one. There's too much at stake to pick now to punish the Rinos. That needs to be done in pimaries. I'm not pleased with what the Repubs have done, and feel they've wasted a lot of opportunities, but the last time Conservatives threw a hissy fit, we had 8 years of Clinton....was it really worth it?
