It's really too bad that frontal lobotomies have fallen out of favor in the psychiatric community. algore could have really benefited from one.

This guy has some series mental issues.
His self worth is completely centered on his need to be an authority figure. He lost to Bush so to compensate he seeks a higher position than Bush. One that will give him global authority.
He must have followers, people to coddle him, to tell him how noble he is, and to inspire him to continue his efforts. He chooses an environmental subject because people whose religion is the environment are easily fooled, are easily shepherded, and most importantly, they are the MSM.

All the hot air that Algore produces gives me a headache and is probably contributing to global warming. If he is concerned with cigarette smoking, he should stop. I'm sure my own bodily gasses are contributing too. No chance I will stop producing gasses as I love beans, cabbage and chili all of which contribute.

Well, it's actually not completely whacked out ... there are millions of acres of tobacco grown and burned each year. So one supposes that's a lot of CO2 being released.
The problem, of course, is that it's not really new CO2. The tobacco absorbed that CO2, as part of photosynthesis -- it basically boils down to it being a case of temporary storage of CO2.
There is, of course, the overhead CO2 related to farm equipment, processing, and transport. But Al would have to convince me that this overhead wouldn't be imposed if tobacco weren't grown on the acreage. (For example, mightn't other crops be grown there instead, with similar CO2 overhead?)
This is just more Algore doom-and-glooming. He's just going for the liberal twofer here: evil smoking meets evil global warming.
