Hope springs eternal in the breast of some of these loons, that's for sure. ("I belieeeeeeeve!!")

I do remember, however, the "what drugs are you on?" and "the sky is falling" threads from post-election days in 2004. "Oh, woe, how can I ever possibly ________ (go to work, clean the house, laugh, eat, crawl out of bed, look at my in-laws without venomous contempt, get dressed, whatever) again?"

I've never witnessed a more pessimistic, fatalistic, narcissistic bunch. (Isn't it FUn peering in on the Ant Farm? Thanks, PJ, for this marvelous magnifying glass.)
