In all seriousnees, I worked with a guy in Maine when I was a teenager who didn't know "wetback" was a racially loaded term. How much more common is "wetback" than "macaca?" How many Americans knew what the word "macaca" meant before this crap? They probably would have thought it was the capital of Madagascar.

As far as I can make out, some guy says that Allen cut off a deer's head during a hunting trip, and put it in some person's mailbox because he didn't like their skin color. The only other supposed witness to the event is deceased, and no one can find a corroborating contemporaneous account of the incident.

Not only is there no police report of such a thing, but a reporter caught up with two deputies who served during that time and they said they don't remember such an incident ever, much less during the time frame it supposedly occurred. More lib BS, they convinced themselves somehow that Macaca was a real big problem for allen and gineed up some fake charges.

It always amazes me how Dems think they're noble, righteous and the hope of humanity, but even their rank and file will lie at the drop of a hat.

Here is the flaw in that theory: George Allen is NOT "a white southerner who grew up in the 60's & 70's."

His father, George Allen the football coach, was from Michigan. He coached in Los Angeles and Chicago and Los Angeles again before going to Washington in 1971.

George Allen the senator was born in 1952 and grew up in Los Angeles and Chicago and Los Angeles again. He was already 19 when his dad moved to Washington.

Growing up, George Allen was NOT a "southerner."

Ignorant American checking in. When I first heard the macaca comment I thought bird (like macaw) -- so the insult was being called a birdbrain. I like the capital of Madagascar better.
