Yeah, that's what I thought, too. Plus it's a little anachronistic - technically speaking, fascism is a modern phenomenon, but Islam has been the way it is for 1400 years.
That's one reason "Islamic Fundamentalism" is a more correct term. "Fascism" is a modern European phenomenon (and thus "Islamic Fascism" implies that the totalitarian elements are some alien graft that is not organic to the ideology).
