Why Don't Ex-Dem Presidents Ever Go Away?!!

What is it with former Democrat Presidents? They are like those guys in your fraternty 20 years ago that keep trying to create the good 'ol days.

The sad thing about it is that they are dangerous because they have a sort of "government in exile" type mentality. It's almost as if they are waiting for America to beg them to come back, that we should just collectively apologize to Carter for kicking him out of office and to Clinton for impeaching him.

What's worse is that they and their sychophantic minions, e.g., Madeline Albright, Ramsey Clarke, etc., really undermine the present administration by constantly publicly second guessing and monday morning quarterbaking everything.

I mean think about it -- does anyone give a rats a$$ what President Carter has to say about foreign policy issues? This is the same guy who the Soviets duped on Afganistan, Salt II, etc., not to mention the Iran hostage crisis.

And Clinton on terrorism? Oh please spare me!!! Can anyone say World Trade attack #1, the USS Cole, Somalia, the embassy bombings.

Are they so narcissistic that they think we really care what they have to say?

Carter -- I liked you better working on Habitat for Humanity houses, and you, Clinton, when helping Tsunami victims.

President Clinton, President Carter -- you had your shot. Now please sit down and shut up!!

Look at Ford, Nixon and Reagan -- never a word or criticism about their successors in office. Class acts, everyone of them!

It used to be that way. What the dems have done is break all the molds, progressives you know.

Oh...it is going to be such a nasty surprise when they get back into office some day.

Clinton and Carter are prime reasons why old presidents should just shut up. Clinton is only making his legacy worse.

Wasn't it Jefferson that said that all former presidents should be forced to leave the country at the end of their term?

Excellent point.Former President Bush has been pretty much silent for 13 years...in keeping with tradition that goes way back.

But you just can't shut those two democRAT filth bags up.

Just more proof that the rules (and traditions) only apply to Republicans.

Who don't DIMRAT ex Presidents go away?

Maybe because their noses are so burned out, they can't smell their own treasonous stench.

Class acts, everyone of them!

You just answered your own question. They had/have class. Carter & Clinton don't! They also screwed up BIG TIME while in office and they are still trying to spin history that they didn't.

No one is supposed to have a memory of their FAILURES. Why would anyone listen to them today when they had a chance to do something when they were in office?!

And to permanently take their spouses with them--bound and gagged for the trip and then gagged at least for a decade or 3.

Modern Dems have..."no life." Republicans are happy well adjusted people who were there to serve. Dems have agenda that is their life. They're miserable, demented people trying to recreate reality so they can live in denial about what losers they are.

Listening to Bubba on fox this morning reminded me of his favorite line (might not be the favorite, but they sure lived it), "Who you going to believe, Me or your lying eyes". Doesn`t it seem like that applies to Billy`s entire life?

It's bad enough that they have no class and can't stay away from the cameras but Carter and Clinton were FAILURES when serving.

Carter has balls bigger than cocoanuts because he has the audacity to criticize Bush when he is primarily responsible for what's happened to Iran.

How many people remember that our citizens were held hostage by the Ayatollah in Iran for more than a year? And Carter did absolutely nothing! Never before had the USA been so humiliated -- and it was only after Reagan was elected that the hostages were released.

It was that debacle that convinced Middle East terrorists that we were a "paper tiger".

If these guys had learned anything from their failures perhaps they could give some sound advice. But, as was said of the Bourbons, they learned nothing and they forgot nothing.

I thought you were going to say..."Let he who is without sin cast the first stone".

Truly a retched anti Christ.

I think you're right about Clinton, but Carter doesn't know which way is up. He's in another world; where he's a legend.

I actually worked for the organization that hosted former President Bush for his very first speech after leaving office. It was in July of 1996! Three-plus years after leaving office before he spoke a word in public, and he said NOTHING about Bill Clinton. Reporters tried to get him to comment, and he refused. THAT is class.

Carter and Clinton were so obviously failed Presidents, but they are both narcissists who cannot survive without the public adulation they believe they deserve.
