Weve been over this scenario a thousand times. Your grandson has been kidnapped and is trapped in an unknown place underground with limited air to breathe. You have the kidnappers accomplice who knows where the boy is, but isnt talking. Your grandson has hours and perhaps minutes to live if the guy doesnt tell you where he is. So far, Congress cannot seem to grasp that interrogators might occasionally face a situation like this. Yes, we respect the basic human rights of all persons, and yes, western and American values make us recoil from the thought, but when we face a monster, and in the case of Islamic fascists a great big group of monsters, we have to get down in the muck with them to defend ourselves and our values, because both our lives and our values will be gone if we dont.

This 'morals and values' thing has been played up by the Media and certain politicians. IMO, most people in this country, don't give a 'damn' what methods We use to extract info from terrorists.
When you deal with an enemy that kills innocent civilians at will, beheads and mutilates prisoners of war/ captives and basically ignores all human rights except those they ascribe to themselves...yes, use any means necessary to extract the information!
The msm and other critics who think this will endanger allied captives- got some news for you, no one except allied forces are abiding by the geneva convention.
No need any longer to interrogate anyone; just send them to abu Ghraib and let our "more humane" Iraqi friends do it.
Great post. For more on this very subject got to liberalscostlives.com and you will see a great article on it.
