Oh, and people who insist on being addressed by their academic titles are, in general, insecure jerks who aren't worth the trouble of listening to, even in their own field.

I've been kicked off DU before...I had signed up and all and mostly watched. Occassionly building up my posts with nonsense stuff. you know...cooking, kids etc...Then one day, I just couldn't help myself and said some stuff I just HAD to say...I was gone within 1/2 hr...
I've never gone back...I can't even stand to type it in my browser. Yuck!! They only know one word...**** and my mom would roll over in her grave if she knew I read that word.
