As an aside, our little town had a tax revolt and the powers that be decided the only place to make any significant cuts was the town library. In order to survive, the library now relies on private donations.

I have been going into the library for years looking for the latest conservative best seller, then going downtown and purchasing a copy because they simply refused to shelve those books. I dropped by the other day and found they had purchased two copies of Ann Coulter's Godless.

They can always tell where their paycheck is coming from. If their funding comes involuntarily through tax receipts, then purchase the books nobody wants to read. On the other hand, if they want us to pay for their services, then they must stock the books we want to read.

I'm sure the economists have a nice, big word for that.
