The New York Times would never put the time and energy into researching an article like you did. They just copy and paste the BS from ANSWER, MAS, UFPJ, ISO, WWP, DNC, PLO, etc. press releases.

That's a DC Chapter FReeper just after 5:40 into the first video. Peace protestor tries to swat at the DCC FReeper's megaphone, then another swats at his camera as the green-vested march marshals pull one of the violent peace protestors away from the FReeper.
I am glad we don’t have demonstrations here like the one in San Francisco. I’m afraid I don’t have the self control to ignore the Hezbolla and Hamas flags and supporters.
