In the spirit of consistency and all that, I've modified the FAH Monitor slighly.

Now, clicking on the name of your machine will take you to the specific page for that machine (instead of clicking on the status indicator). I've moved the machine-link (which most of us aren't using anyway) to a new icon in the status column that looks like a notepad.

This brings it into line with the new project stats functionality, that allows us to click on a user or machine in the project history.

As always, suggestions for improvement are more than welcome!

I've added some filtering to the project histories that effects how project stats (as well as machine stats) are calculated.

I'm looking at project completion times, and filtering out anything under 100 minutes, and anything over 120,000 minutes (1000 hours) as invalid. Although rudimentary, it should get rid of instances where a project aborts right away, and machines that have stalled for long periods.

Filtered history is still shown (in red), to allow for machine-level analysis (i.e. why does the @#$% machine keep throwing up??), but the stats aren't being figured into calculations.

This isn't an ideal situation, though, as there are still instances where a project has aborted over the threshold. If anyone can point me to a better algorithm, that would be great.

Right now, I'm thinking of a percentage-outlier approach: If a project completion is less than 50% of the average, it's probably invalid. Same on the flip side: if a project completion is 200% of the average, it's probably invalid.

Thoughts?

I've updated the FAHUpload script for both Windows and Linux.

There are two modifications/additions.

First, a patch to fix a potential problem with incoming projects (this one is for the Windows script only). Apparently, FAH has departed from its naming convention for projects. Traditionally, they've been one word, using underscores as word separators. Project "p2390_Coiled Coil", however, departs from this.

As a result, version 1.2 of the Windows script will only return the "p2390_Coiled" portion of the name, and won't match correctly with the remainder for reporting purposes.

This is fixed in version 1.3, available on the Help page. I would recommend updating to that script as soon as possible. (Sorry Klutz!). Freepmail me if you'd rather just have the replacement lines to make the change yourself.

The second modification is the addition of three fields: RAM, Processor, and Notes. Take a look at my Europa machine for an idea on how to utilize these fields. These fields are optional-- and are also available in the 1.3 version of both the Windows and Linux scripts.
