Here is a possibility for a name. This is from a Lebonese paper, The Daily Star.

This is in the third paragraph and the first name mentioned in the article so it could indicate the guy who was most visible in the operation.

This is a younger man, without his glasses, but recognisably the same man, in his now classic pose of handling a victim of an Israeli "atrocity".

Also, this link from freeper's files, is a 60 Minutes piece in 2002 called Pallywood. Watch the whole thing - there is actually a stage set for these scenes! The opening is a little slow and not convincing but it gets better as it goes on.

Reminds me of the old civil war photos.

And one of the most famous "combat" photos of the 20th century is the one by Bob Capa of a Spanish Loyalist infantryman supposedly taking a chest hit and dropping his rifle. Probably won't ever know for sure, but it seems likely that this too was staged during some training exercise. There has probably never been a war without its share of phony publicity stories, and now photography. We shouldn't forget the Elian Gonzalez kidnap picture either.
