DUmmie FUnnies 07-28-06 (William Rivers Pitt Hides Behind Marc Ash's Skirt)
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | July 28, 2006 | William Rivers Pitt, DUmmies, and PJ-Comix

Posted on 07/28/2006 5:44:54 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

William Rivers Pitt has finally rendered up a non-answer about his part in the Non-Indictment That Dares Not Speak Its Name. This was in response to a challenge from DUmmie kstewart33 who boldly asked in this THREAD, "William Pitt: How about an explanation?" Unfortunately for DUmmie kstewart33, Pied Piper Pitt responds with a lame non-answer as we shall see. I wonder if Pitt will be allowed to be so evasive if he is forced to take the stand if there is a criminal trial against his buddy, Jason Leopold, for making threats against various bloggers including, most notably, SEIXON. Remember, Pied Piper Pitt was in the forefront of vouching for the "noble" journalistic integrity of Jason Leopold and has acted as his chief enabler on the Web. Therefore it is to be expected that any criminal proceedings against Leopold must include Pitt on the witness stand. One can only hope that such a trial will be televised so we can watch the squirmings and evasions by Bukowski's most devout patron. As usual, the Pied Piper Pitt evasion is in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, amused at the fact that Pitt placed his entire political cojones into the greasy palms of Jason Leopold, is in the [brackets]:

William Pitt: How about an explanation?

[I was DESPERATE to claw my way into fame. I figured that since it was a sure thing that Karl Rove would be indicted by Patrick Fitzgerald, why not announce it as a fact and then lay claim for this amazing scoop when it happened? Who knew that this could have completely backfired on me and now am so openly mocked by my fellow leftists that my only consolation is imbibing deeply of liquid refreshments nightly at Bukowski's?]

Now that you're posting again, might you give us all a full explanation of what happened concerning the Rove indictment/Jason Leopold/truthout fiasco several weeks back. You remember: the series of stories that had us all convinced that Rove would be indicted after 24 business hours or 48 or whatever?

[The indictment really happened. I just got a little ahead of the news cycle on that one. The indictment will be announced the moment the Great Pumpkin arrives.]

No fair sneaking back into the forums without telling all of us chumps what the heck happened.

[What happened is that I have gone from merely predicting indictments that didn't happen to prophesizing a grand apocalyptic End of the World VISION based on a complex series of events which must fit together perfectly like a vast jigsaw puzzle for it to happen.]

calling folks out is a no no.

[How dare you call on Pied Piper Pitt to account for making fools of us all.]

This is in bad taste. Regardless of the situation...

[Yecch! A fellow DUmmie seeks the truth. This is in bad taste.]

Thou shalt not ask for accountability...ye shall bow thy head and baa in acquiescence as does the rest of the DU flock.

[Ye shall bury thy head in the sand as does the rest of the DUmmie flock.]

Is this personal? Did he take away your virginity, or something?

[That is a question that might be asked in a courtroom concerning a certain Girls School scandal in Newton.]

Hey Bill- if you are reading this, somebody still loves ya, Baby!!!

[Is that you, Jason Leopold?]

I would venture to guess that Leopold was probably right and Death Star Cheney once again pulled off the impossible (to mere mortals) anyway. What HAVEN'T these assh*les gotten away with? Just sayin'.

[Yeah, Karl Rove really was indicted and Patrick Fitzgerald merely kept mum when Rove's lawyer lied about there being no indictment. It sounds like the Good Fairy Leopold has been sprinkling Pixie Dust on your brain.]

You should be ashamed for posting this. Will has done more for this party than you ever will.

[Absolutely. Will has done more to make the Democrats look like complete fools than you ever will. That videotape of the Michigan Democrats (including Hillary) standing up and cheering the Truthout announcement of the Rove indictment just can't be topped for sheer idiocy. Thanx, Will. You done GOOD!]

No one should ever be ashamed for wanting to know if information is true or not, and while I agree that Will Pitt certainly has every right, as much as anyone else to post here, I'd like to hear about that fiasco as well.. tho I imagine they might want to post it at their site and then link it here for us all to scratch our heads over

[They already did post an explanation at the TruthOut site. Karl Rove was really indicted but they just got ahead of the news cycle in announcing it.]

Will never claimed direct knowledge-he said he trusted the people whom claimed direct knowledge, as in "I doubt they are lying".....thereby lending his considerable weight to the story. As best I can guess, some deal was in fact arranged.Myself,I am tired of people that to this day post snarky stuff against both Leopold and TO.And to bring Will's credibility in when he was a character witness is unfair....till the entire cabal is taken down and the history is written, I'll abstain....

[According to Will himself, one of the sources that he trusted was Joe Wilson. And thanx for reminding us that Pitt was a character witness vouching for that font of journalistic integrity, Jason Leopold.]

Shameful violation of the rules. This will hopefully be locked VERY soon. SHAME on you.

[Shameful violation of DUmmieland rules. Seeking the truth. SHAME on you.]

Why don't we all just alert the mods.... I did. This is clearly against the rules.

[Clearly against the rules to seek out the truth in DUmmieland.... And now the moment we have all been waiting for. An uncharacteristically cryptic "explanation" from the Pied Piper himself. Heeeeeeeere's WILLLIIEEEEE!!!]

Ready?

I can't.

Not because I don't want to, or because there isn't a good one. I do and there is. But any and all information on this issue is going to come from Marc Ash, and he is my boss, and that's how it is. I am required to abide by the rules of my employer, and that's one of them.

Sorry.

And, P.S., I've been a member here since April of 2001, so I'm not sneaking anywhere.

[So there you have it. Pied Piper Pitt could easily give us an explanation about the Hoaxmas story but he can't because he must defer to that journalistic giant and fashion photographer, Marc Ash. If only fashion photographer Ash would give Pitt a deferment on the TruthOut rules, Pitt could explain the whole thing thus lifting the weight that is crushing his political career that never happened.]

Locking. Calling out another member is against the rules. Also, in the future, if you see something like this, please just hit the Alert button instead of telling the poster why their thread will be locked. The mods will handle it.

[Locking. Also in the future, any thread daring to question Pitt about the Non-Indictment That Dare Not Speak Its Name will be instantly locked.]

Seems to me that it goes against the very core of DU ans TO's beliefs to persue actual truth.
Its in TO's very moniker.

Truth? Out!

I think what interests me as much as anything is Skinner's desire to make the DU community acceptable to mainstream Democrats (by that I mean Democratic operatives). The KOs community has been somewhat successful in this regard but Skinner is still playing 'wannabe'. The DUers embrace the likes of Will Pitt because they think it makes them players. In fact, it keeps them on the margins.

A good barometer of where the DNC is heading is its relationship with these communities and how/to what extent it develops. The KOs Kiddies are only slightly more 'with it' rationally than the DU'ers. And so they've done a better job recognizing where their efforts provide results. Will the DUers ever wake up to this? I have my doubts. But then, if they do, will the DNC even consider a relationship with these obviously troubled people. It would be insightful if they did.

Surely his association with Truthout/Marc Ash is of no value, their being a 'nowhere' pseudo news blog that only has capital with the far left kook fringes.

TruthOut used to be cited as a news source by Google but after the Hoaxmas fiasco Google dumped them from their news. Also Pitt has become a non-person over at PDA.Org.

Yeah. It's obvious they didn't spend time thinking of the ramifications when they came up with that moniker. Sheesh!

I wonder how we'd react here on FR if this had happened to one of us. I get the feeling the guy would be run out of here. As I recall in the earlier days of FR, there was at least one member who was called out for something, and eventually he left FR and badmouthed us for a while. Prominent bonehead conservative attorney in FL if I'm not mistaken..

Jack Thompson. ;-)

I would think most any blog could be a purveyor of 'news' and become cited by Google over time. That, IMHO, does not make them reliable nor credible. Only their content earns those kudos. Sorry, I just have no consideration for Mr. Will Pitt as a 'player' (earned, that is).

I'm saying a good number at least appear to have emotional/dependency problems which they're not loath to discuss. Yeah, I guess I'm saying that those who display those characteristics seem "Nuts" to me.

Certain sites are referenced in Google News specifically. For example, NewsBusters. Truthout was also UNTIL the Hoaxmas scandal broke. Then they were removed.

I understand that. I'm just saying (as much as I'm not a fan of NewsBusters) I don't put Truthout in the same league as a NewsBusters, or especially NRO, Miclelle Malkin, etc. They may have had a reference in Google or other search engines, but that doesn't make them legitimate: Only their content does.

I'm not trying to make an argument here. Just stating my own opinion.

DU is pretty low-rent and as you say, they're wannabes. KOS is more sophisticated and are a pipeline from Dean and company. They're bought and paid for, in other words, and the libs can squawk all they like about being "their own voice" or whatever, but you can wither work inside the system or be irrelevent to it, you can't be both. Which is why they are always doomed to failure--they want to be "rebels' and yet they want to control the system they supposedly hate so much.

Thanks for this DUFU thread. You're right, PJ, we haven't heard the last of Leopold and Company. The business with the blogger living in Norway is on several other sites.

Aceofspades.com wades in, and a brief, but concise mention on Powerlineblog.com by John Hinderaker, entitled, "Can the Left Fall Any Lower?"

Well, yes, it can and it will. Note that Jeff Goldstein at ProteinWisdom.com is considering the possibility of seeking legal remedies against the psychology professor, Deb Frisch, who continues her strange obsession with Goldstein's two year old son.

Leopold's references to conservative bloggers interfering with young boys is a constant with him and a not unexpected charge he lets fly when frustrated by the facts of his unfortunate existence.

The recurring themes of pedophilia used by the Left in attacks on Conservatives makes many of their internet communications seem like screenplays for pornographic and snuff movies.

Pedophiliac posts are made to respectable sites in the early hours; the usual mental cases do it to satisfy their exhibitionist drive, much as Pitt continues to haunt DU to garner the attention he craves in order to feel not invisible.

One of these peophiliac posts appeared on FR this week and was removed. However, some people responded in disgust and horror to the post which must have afforded the sex imbecile who posted it a thrill.

Since this seems to be where the Left is directing its nervous energy, the disruption and destruction of the trust on these boards, it's probably wise to not respond to these posts.

Law enforcement does not consider such posts porotected by the first amendment.

Storm rolling through here. Thanks again, P.J.

The Leopudlian "journalist," just like the Bostonian Drunkard, is an incredible bore.

Yes, they are boring because they are bored. They don't seem to do anything useful, or really know how to do anything useful. Learning and practising useful arts requires humility or at the very least, acceptance of the need to apply oneself, to pay attention to what might be difficult, and not to slide into sloth and aimlessness, the "flop-house artist" state of day-dreaming a heroic life fuelled by spite and envy and the visions of a Gotterdamerung they yearn to bring down on their betters.

They are lashed by their own sense of inferiority so they hate someone like Anonymous Army who probably never gives a thought to making an impression but rather writes and acts from a clear set of principles where truth matters and lies and expediency are given short shrift. He also has a real job, knows how to do something worthwhile, has earned the professional esteem of his peers, and is not afraid of the liars and fakes who view politics as therapy and use it for their own advancement.
Not boring.

We had a brief, violent storm last night. I haven't gone outside to check the damage, if any. Everyone just left for the tennis club where they will stand around the clay courts assuring each other that the courts will soon be dry. Perhaps they can send out beams of white light to speed up the process.

To answer your question on another thread, yes, the BD smokes -- at least he has posted pix of himself lighting up.

One thing, Frank, you just know the BD swanned around that fetid Pitt-stop telling his fellow bar-flies about the Rove indictment coming down on May 12. He must be the "entertainment" at that place. Imagine being in your thirties, avid for fame, for position, for respect and winding up as "a regular" in a crummy saloon, hearing, "Oh, yeah, he's a real character." Or "a regular" on DU. What a destiny.

Okay. I've had to get up and run around looking for someone's "lucky" sox, sew part of a hem on someone else's tennis skirt, run outside to catch the kid who sells fresh crab, pick enough figs to serve with BlueBunny vanilla icecream at lunch, and praying, in my mind, for our troops and their families, for the forgotten sufferers in Castro's gruesome gulag, and giving thanks for the everydayness of my life, and for FR and the friendships it affords.

You paint a real picture with your description of BD and Leopold. Judging by the content we see on DU I'd say it befits that crowd as well. DU is their 'saloon' online. By extension, the PITT'ster is merely moving down the street to the next dive when he trades Bukowski's for DU.

Have a great weekend. We had to cancel our attending a first Communion party today because of the heat. It's being held outside and I simply can't handle the heat with my heart problems. The same for Church tomorrow. With no air conditioning, it's not somewhere I need to be; even at 9 a.m. I upload the sermons to our Concordia website so I'll stop by after service to pick up the tape, but that's all I'll be doing outside this weekend.

Again, here's hoping the weekend is a good one for you and yours.
