Where are the Christians?
But what Israel is doing is imposing deliberate suffering on civilians, collective punishment on innocent people, to force them to do something they are powerless to do: disarm the gunmen among them. Such a policy violates international law and comports neither with our values nor our interests. It is un-American and un-Christian.
But where are the Christians? Why is Pope Benedict virtually alone among Christian leaders to have spoken out against what is being done to Lebanese Christians and Muslims?
When al-Qaida captured two U.S. soldiers and barbarically butchered them, the U.S. Army did not smash power plants across the Sunni Triangle. Why then is Bush not only silent but openly supportive when Israelis do this?
Democrats attack Bush for crimes of which he is not guilty, including Haditha and Abu Ghraib. Why are they, too, silent when Israel pursues a conscious policy of collective punishment of innocent peoples?

You make me sick! How can you live with yourself, oh let's see maybe it is because you are a Muslim? A following of the death cult of Islam! Yep that is what it must be.
Makes him boring.
Pat Buchanan is the biggest embarrassment in the GOP.
Great article. Hoot!
Lest someone misunderstand me, i was referring to the comment when I said "hoot" not commending Phat B. Disgusting old waste of flesh.
Did i tell you that I loathe what he stands for, which is the OPPOSITE of Christianity!
I'm not surprised that Pat Buchannen is taking an anti-Israeli stance...
I think on the war against terrorism, Pat is wrong.
He admits Israel and the US have a right to defend themselves, but that we should do it by hunkering down and playing defense.
This didn't and won't work. We had to go on offense against a caliphate while it still can be toppled. W decided to go for the throat in Afghanistan and Iraq. It's a dirty business and people are going to get hurt, but so far W and team have done extremely well in the short 5 years. It's been success after success.
We have led the charge with a shaky coalition. Now with Israel strongly engaged our chances of success has doubled. With Iran we had the military option on the table, now with a timely counter attack by Israel, saying enough, we may have to say enough fooling around to the Iranians.
Pat's afraid of going for a win because he doesn't think it's possible. But while things are still in our favor we should not hold back.
