Now I know why I NEVER watched Rita Cosby's show. Her voice is incredibly IRRITATING. It is like listening to fingernails scratching across a blackboard.

Anyway, I was just checking MSNBC for the latest news on the Mideast flareup and Rita Cosby was reporting. Her voice is even WORSE than I remembered. So what is the deal? Does she have throat cancer? And how the hell did she ever get a gig on the tube? Sorry but her voice is the WORST in TV history. All I can think of is she should take some throat lozenges, drink hot soup, and, above all, give her voice a rest.

When I hear Cosby's voice all I can think of is sickness. That voice is NOT healthy. It is sounds like a garbage disposal heard thru a muffler.

I watched for about 5 minutes last night and could only think from the second she opened her mouth how in Gods name could someone with a voice so profoundly unsuited for public speaking get her job.

It is a jaw dropping, stare of disbelief type rasp that emanates from her lips.

I hadn't seen her since she left Fox until a couple of days ago when I stumbled upon her while channel surfing. I agree, her voice has gotten terrible. I have to think there is some kind of medical problem.

I once put a lot of strain on my voice and the doctor told me to go a couple of weeks without speaking. I was really scared that this might be a permanent condition so I followed his advice faithfully and even carried a marker pen and small signs with me for communication with others. Fortunately, my voice returned to normal. Rita Cosby needs to give her voice a REST. I would say at least a month of NO speaking. At all.
