It bothers me that we see no mention of the percentages of pros and cons. These letters were just alternating for and against to give the impression that the military is equally divided. We have no way of knowing the true consensus of our troops.

FWIW, troops and consensus don't really belong in the same sentence (just MHO).

if you click on the link at the bottom , and read the whole thing, you will find that about 80 percent of the respondents were in favor of their service/serving in
Iraq. I sent out hundreds of queries, but the DOD has
really cracked down on MilBloggers, so few were willing to give their opinion.
