Appearing on the Neil Cavuto Show on Fox News, Congressman Tom Tancredo (R, Colorado) announced that he will run for President if no other "serious candidate" will take on the issue of illegal immigration. "My purpose is to make immigration the focal point of any national debate in the Presidential dlection," said Tancredo.
good post. I am no longer consider myself a republican until they QUIT ACTING LIKE DEMOCRATS!
Go Tom. Got my vote.
I like what I know of him.
The problem is, the MSM will paint him as a far right whack job.
And the RNC will abandon him because he threatens the status quo.
He's got my vote.

Tancredo: "I may not have to do this. I may not have to run in order to get that to happen, because it seems to me that a lot of people are getting really ticked off about it ..." To which Cavuto interrupts, "Well, actually they're not. They're not ticked of nearly as much as you are, Congressman. They're not, because I talk to them. So if that is the case, are you all but running?" Tancredo: "If it is the case that they're not as upset as I think they are, well then I'm going to have to make them upset, 'cuz I'm gonna tell them exactly what the story is, and it's a scary story. This country is in 'mortal danger', by the way. The title of my book."
Tancredo BUMP
One thing he didn't say in the interview is whether he'd run as a candidate in the Republican primary or whether he'd go 3rd party in the general. It's the latter where he'd do the GOP the most damage.
Has he registered his Tancredo '08 campaign yet? He needs to do that if he is getting donations.
Tancredo would make a great leader and is exactly the person America needs at this critical fork in the road between socialism and liberty.

"He better be careful. He runs the risk of being the Democrat's hero in '08, and the Democrats will be worse than any Republicans on this issue"
Then I guess some of the BIG GOP back room dealers may need to start changing some policies...like immigration.
