Noam Chomsky talked about his book Failed States: The Abuse of Power and the Assault on Democracy, published by Metropolitan Books. The book is about just war theory and the invasion of Iraq. During the talk, Professor Chomsky criticized the work of Michael Walzer, an influential proponent of just war theory and the author of the popular book Just and Unjust Wars. Following his remarks, Professor Chomsky took questions from the West Point cadets in the audience about international law and the Bush administration's foreign policy.

The loyalty of the professor ought to come under intense and complete scrutiny. Why would a professor at a military academy invite the most notorious anti-American, anti-military agitator currently alive?
Even our military educational institutes are not immune from the inanity of liberals/progressives/socialists/communists.
The gushing prof should be drummed out, IMO.
Fifth Column alive and well in even West Point!!! DISGUSTING!!
He's there to teach them a lesson in the first rule of war.
Normally I'd be flipping out about such a thing, but when the very sovereignty of the country these young people will be risking their lives for, is meanwhile, being sold out from under them, somehow Chomsky pales in comparison.
Know thy enemy
Just to add another thought. A couple days ago a post indicated that some officers were in listening range of a couple of ditzy dames who were trashing the military and President Bush. A war wife also heard the trashing and took a moment to shut these two ignorant women down. Afterwards, the military men told her how much they appreciated her response because they were forbidden to get into political debates with civilians. I wonder if the same rules of engagement apply to West Point cadets and speakers. Perhaps the reaction of the cadets and other faculty had nothing to do with their true feelings and more to do with compliance with school speaker hosting rules.
