You nailed it, when you commented the Bostonian Idiot's appearance by proxy, and his commentary, was much as if on December 8, 1941, Franklin Roosevelt would have addressed the nation about rural electrification rather than, uh, the attack on Pearl Harbor.

I warned the Bostonian Idiot, publicly on these pages--and we all know he reads them--as long ago as January that if he did not seek some professional help for his whole carnival freak-show of mental, social, and emotional problems soon, he will be so far gone he will not be able to "celebrate" any Democratic victories in November, if there are any.

I was way too conservative; he is deteriorating cerebrally much more rapidly than I had calculated; perhaps by mid-summer the Bostonian Idiot will be the babbling idiot, unable to recognize the world around him.

The Bostonian Idiot doesn't need a fund-raiser, or even health insurance.

There's all sorts of resources available to the alcoholically-challenged in the Boston area, nearly ALL of whom bill according to ability to pay, and who do not at all bill desperate cases.

There's lots and lots and lots of people walking in the Bostonian Idiot's own neighborhood more than willing to help a guy with a severe problem.....provided he honestly wants to get well.

But having the blindness of a drunkard, the Bostonian Idiot refuses to see all those hordes of hands reaching out, offering help.

Or perhaps the Bostonian Idiot fantasizes about being treated at.....Johns Hopkins?

Then I sense you may be a bit on the delusional side when you say you have known him for years.....Maybe you have knowledge of Will Pitt or something on the acquaintance level....but not actually "know him"
