Indian involvement being a "red rag" is important. Pakistan has said that India will be nuked under any circumstances. Should we not also have our own plans to punish Islamabad or whoever?

Should we not have a policy to cooperate with the US knowing that we are anyway under threat of being nuked by a jihadi rogue?

It does seem at times that having nukes is some sort of effective buffer policy. Think about it ....when nations like North Korea (and even Pakistan, although it is our 'ally) have nukes nothing seems to happen to them. Nations like Iraq try to get their mits on nukes (but don't yet have them completed and operational ) and their leaders get fished out of spider-holes like the stupid murderous sots they are! It is to be seen what happens to Iran .....if they get nuclear weapons, and we do nothing, then it will just add credence to this and prompt more rogue states (someone say Syria) to try and get nukes of their own.

The situation in Pakistan is much more sinister than many seem to realize.

I've got a few more updates regarding the situation as it has been developing in Pakistan from sources both here and in Pakistan. Im surprised there is almost nothing of this mentioned in the American or Western newspapers -

A very big nightmare is beginning to unfold.

It's a complicated problem. The military leaders of India, the USA, Israel and other countries know it. How can Pakistan's nuclear weapons and bad influence be shut down without Pakistan launching nukes against another country? I suspect that the answer lies in anti-ballistic missile defenses (interceptors) and someday exciting Pakistan's leaders at a particular moment.

India also has a presence in Afghanistan. For now, we continue to surround Pakistan.

I think if Mushie is ever taken out by say an assasin or he looses power then India must act.Meaning destroy their nuclear ability because all it will take is some really crazy islamic nutjob to start lobbing nukes in the region. We know who will be the first targets India and the US in afghanistan.

I have said since 9 11 that had we not had little old Saddam still in the fight ( as in Clinton should have handled his buisness) we would have chased Osama right on into and thru Pakistan if we had to.

Pakistan is nuclear armed and Musharif is our best hope there right now for as long as we are engaged in Iraq.

Once that is over the game changes considerably.

W said one by one and I think he meant it as much as anything he said from that day.
