Hey, Rush just mentioned the bogus Rove indictment!
When I was away in Orlando last week, I didn't realize it would be for the Hoaxmas holiday! I seem to have missed some seriouslt FUnny stuff...
"target litter"
That is really funny!
No matter how many times the Republicans fumble the ball, the DUmmies and the DemocRAT leaders can be counted on to score a safety with it rather than take the touchback.
"They ALL float down here, Charrrrrrrllllllessssssss...!" :)
I was in the car and heard a passing reference at the end of a remark on something else. It made me believe I'd missed something and apparently I have.
Any info on what he said?
Anything on DU concerning Kurtz's article in the Washington Post yet??? I'm withering in anticipation for THAT DUFUnnies.....
1. Apologize for misleading DU readers with an unsupported rumor.
2. Insist that the indictment will materialize, any business hour now.
3. Attack the skeptics without offering any substantive comment on the subject.
4. Refuse to comment on the matter and move on to other things.
5. None of the above -- he'll never show his face here again.
I'll take #4, Alex.
It's there. I'm trying to find it to post a link. In the meantime:

I don't think kitty litter was even thought up until about sometime in the 1950s. Before that I guess you had to let the cat outside to poop. I had a pet cat and never ceased to be amazed how quickly it took to the kitty litter box. Just set the cat on top of the litter once to let her know where it was and then let her instinct take over from there. No real training required. Too bad dogs can't learn this trick.
I'll have the roast Duck with the Mango salsa....
We can't control what truthout says. We can only control what we give creedence to, and the reasons (or lack thereof) we do so.
Many DUers would do well to put their money where their mouths are when it comes to being "reality-based", and insist on things like publically verifiable evidence when it comes to substantial claims.
ESPECIALLY when those substantial claims appear to be on OUR side.
DUers were more than happy to fritter away their beliefs, based on ZERO publically verifiable evidence. It's truthout's fault for printing an article with no evidence. It's DUers' fault for believing it.

My Note to Marc Ash, Director of Truthout.org
May 22, 2006
Dear Mr. Ash,
I am one of many, many people following Truthout.org's breaking of the Karl Rove indictment story. I have read all of the related pieces on your website, and want to tell you that your organization is carrying the weight of many people's hopes right now. Until the story is proven, and the public confirmations made, it is a matter of faith--you for your sources, your readers for you--that is keeping everyone concerned hopeful. With the threats to freedom everywhere, and made more brazenly every day, we need every victory we can get, and rue more deeply each defeat.
But I want to say this most truly from my heart: no matter the outcome, don't stop your work, not for a minute, not for anyone. The cynics and the fascists are alike in this: they do not believe that there is good in the world, and want to convince everyone else to surrender to fear and selfishness too. Don't let them do that to you, sir, nor to your staff. There is so much at stake, and so much to lose.
Lastly, on a less dramatic note, but no less important, I wish for you and your staff good health, clear thinking, and glad moments. While this situation is very important, it does not comprise everything in the world. There is more. There is family, there are private moments of memory and contemplation, there is laughter and foolishness. There is nature, art, and the mystery of being alive at all.
I wish you and everyone there at Truthout good luck and best wishes. Better days are ahead, by our own hand, with a bit of luck, and because maybe something beyond the reach of our ordinary senses does not wish us always to be suffering.
Peace to you,
RS

Once in Tijuana I saw him walking in my direction so I ducked into an alley off the street and hid behind some garbage. Yeah, it was smelly but it beat meeting up with Young. And as I was spotting Young walking in front of the alley, a local cop stopped and arrested him for public drunkeness. Young was too stuped to pay La Mordida so we had to chip in a couple of days later to come up with more La Mordida money to free him from the TJ jail.
And now Pitt is following the same path. Trouble wherever he turns and to whomever he touches.
Our Shorthair Pointer that we adopted last year learned house training in 4 days. And we had only 2 'accidents' shortly thereafter. Of course, he was young so those were to be expected.
House training a dog doesn't have to be a big deal.
