I don't know how many of you have heard of Newsvine but if you haven't let me introduce you to it (if you have skip to the next paragraph). Newsvine is a relatively new news site. What separates it from other news sites is its use of AP news stories and user submissions. Basically every news story that appears on the AP is automatically posted to Newsvine (they suggest that stories will appear there before other place because of lack of editorial intervention). Users can also "seed" stories from other web sites on the "vine". Finally users can also write their own news articles in a similar fashion to a blog. On every story users can comment and vote for the story. Commenting and voting deteremines how much prominence the story receives on the site (ie the more votes and/or comments can influence how long a story stays on the front page or other areas).
There is a problem with Newsvine. Not with the site itself but with the fact that most of the users seem to be standing left of center. This means that the stories that are getting seeded, written, voted, and commented upon tend to be more liberal in tone. I stress that this isn't a problem of the site itself but simply a lack of conservative voices (they are there, just outnumbered).
I am trying to change this. I trying to encourage those of us standing right of center to check out and participate at Newsvine. If more conservatives would participate there and work to raise its visability among conservatives we can bring balance to this site and make it an important battlefront in the arena of ideas.
Hopefully, you'll check it out, find it worthy to participate in, and tell other about. See ya there :-)

Welcome to FR.....
Got my hands full here with RINO's thanks.
LOL!
Why don't we just let that site rot and hang out at FreeRepublic?
I hope you'll help the conservative cause by posting some of the stories that need right of center votes. Eventually people will get hooked and check the site themselves maybe.
