My point is that this guy's all bent out of shape about the course of the Iraq war because there have been difficulties and unintended consequences, but the fact is that's true of all wars, even the ones he'd agree are "good". I believe taking down Saddam's regime was one of the proper responses to 9/11 - I'm just sorry the US wasted a year dicking around at the UN in order to satisfy the liberals that the attack would have "legitimacy". That's one of the major reasons the whole thing got harder to pull off.

"He's suggesting we'd be better off with

AL GORE!!!!"

Actually, he's not saying that at all:

"None of this, by the way, should be interpreted as an endorsement of the opposition party. The Democrats are equally bankrupt. This is the second crime of our age. Again, historically speaking, its times like these when America needs a vibrant opposition to check the power of a run-amuck majority party. It requires it. It doesn’t work without one. Like the high and low tides keep the oceans alive, a healthy, positive opposition offers a path back to the center where all healthy societies live.

Tragically, the Democrats have allowed crackpots, leftists and demagogic cowards to snipe from the sidelines while taking no responsibility for anything. In fairness, I don’t believe a Democrat president would have gone into Iraq. Unfortunately, I don’t know if President Gore would have gone into Afghanistan. And that’s one of the many problems with the Democrats. "

He even gets in the dig about trading Sammy Sosa.

Bush jokes about this being a huge mistake he made. However;Bush couldn't have possibly known Sosa would "steroid up" and become an actual power hitter. You see how quickly he came to earth and is now out of baseball after going off the juice.

Another "mistake" made by Bush that was out of his control.Unless you want to advocate Bush should have encouraged Sosa to juice up while in the Rangers organization.

I'm NOT happy with GWB, but there's no way on Earth I would've been happier with a Gore or Kerry administration!

Heaven only happens after you're dead.

While you're alive, consider yourself extremely lucky to get half a loaf.

I've been with Doug in studio and called him many times. He nicknamed me a "Clintonologist" and "The Bard from Upland." He can complain about the border, as do I, but I still support what we did in Iraq and the vision Bush has to recognize that we are in for a long, long war with Islamofascists.

This doesn't sound like somebody who voted for Bush. In fact, it sounds like a (low-quality) liberal troll. Nice try.

I thought KABC carried over into San Diego County. He's been the morning anchor at KABC for several years. He is a writer, long ago he was a writer on TV sit-coms and recently was head writer on "Liberty Kids" the PBS educational kids show about the founding of our country.

McIntyre had been a long time conservative, was a big supporter of McClintock for Governor, President Bush, us going to Iraq, etc.

He's 1,000 times more interesting than Bill Handel on KFI but I think McIntyre has lost a few brain cells from doing morning drive in L.A.

Well, he was better than Komrade Herr Klintoon.

Apples and oranges.

The Rapist was the most corrupt.

Jimmah was the most incompetent, which wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't also the most self-righteous.

This does not surprise me at all. Doug McIntyre used to be the "red eye" radio host (pre 6 a.m. time slot) on I think ABC 790 here in So Cal, and the few times I'd get him in the pre-dawn hours, he was pretty witty and made me laugh. Was glad at first when he moved up to the 6 - 9 a.m. slot, but it didn't take but a few listens to determine that politcally, he ain't the hottest pepper in the chili con carne. I expect he sincerely doesn't think of himself as a liberal Democrat, but it doesn't take many minutes of listening to determine that he misjudges himself.

Well, up front, I was against it from the start--unlike the Johnny-come-latelies in the Dem party--and took the heat for it. This was predictable though, in the absence of a declaration of war, formally.

However, I totally agree with you about the U.N. We do not and should not have to get their "permission." If we make a decision on what is right, then we should do it, come hell or high water or Kofi. My (and your) country decided, even if I disagree, that what we did was the right thing. So we should have just done it. And the gutless pukes on the left should support it, as I do, or shut up, but not try to be "for it, then I was against it."

Finny, I think it would be very difficult for anyone to consider themselves to be a liberal Democrat if they had supported Rep. McClintock for Governor as much as McIntyre did when Davis was recalled.

Still, this is a grocery-sack barf alert.

If this article were covered on tv then this could be used:

****

THE BARF ALERT 1000 — .............. the new "Barf-Alert Model 1000"! What does it do?

The "Barf-Alert Model 1000" connects to your tv, once the unit has been activated it scans a couple of minutes into the future for "puke inducing" content. Should such content be found it will promptly flash the words "BARF ALERT" in big bold letters across your screen. Never again will you puke all over your floor, no more messy clean up! If you act now, you can get the "BARF ALERT" auto-channel changer free! Yes, that's right we said free! ----------------- FReeper guestfox01

He is not a Dem by any means. Doug is a good guy and a very smart one, but I just disagree on this. He was one of the very few conservative screen writers in Hollywood.

Unfortunately, our President has not been forceful enough in using what we have learned to reinforce the decision to invade Iraq. Had he been doing that and had been seriously addressing the border, the poll numbers would be significantly higher, and McIntyre would have not said these things.

Oh Yeah? And where exactly does one find your substantive comments??

You're so transparent...you just posted this to get a rise out of people so you could vainly display your moral and intellectual superiority with cute little euphemisms like "Republibot", whatever the hell that is.

My angst-ridden "the world is coming to an end" teenage daughter has more maturity than you appear to, fool.

Agreed. There are legitimate reasons for thinking Iraq was the wrong move, but the leftwingers never advance those reasons - they just hate America and want her to lose.
