Thanks. Fans get excited whenever there’s news of this film, but I suspect it’ll create a lot more misunderstanding than understanding of Objectivism.
$35 million’s probably a low budget film these days. I think most hits spend more than that on promotion. And unless the film suppresses the moral-capitalist themes and cherry picks anti-religions insinuations from the 1200 page book to build the plot-line, they’ll get little free publicity.
That said, if it gets the Objectivist nerds away from their books and outsider for some fresh air and excitement, I’m for it.
Hey now...some of them spend at least some of their time on FreeRepublic.
I'll go watch the movie. I can't read any book that doesn't come without a lot of pictures.
