My head grows numb from the banging...

Time to sit back and drink beer...and hope that critical mass is on the horizon, and not a hemisphere away...

Tic Toc Tic TocK!

" ... We have to, unfortunately, write-off most of those who are already hooked either on the entitlements themselves, or the warm fuzzies they get by supporting them, and focus on those who haven't been brainwashed into "thinking" that the government is the best solution to every problem."

Not to rain on your parade, but consider the following:

There were 59,028,439 persons, dead and alive, legally, or illegally, who voted for J.Effin Kerry.(The "Brainwashed")

Aditionally there were 35 million persons over 65 (the "WarmFuzzies") in the U.S. (2000 census)

That makes a mountain of about 95 million to climb.

Add to that the ever increasing population of uneducated youths being foisted upon society by the "public" educational system and there is now grease on the mountain.

IMHO the only way out of this morass is to have a complete meltdown, such as is happening with our borders, and gasoline prices.

Then, and only then will we begin to remedy the problems.

Hell, most people I talk to (seemingly intelligent people) think that Exon-Mobile, by making less that 10% profit, are raping and pillaging, yet think it perfectly alright for Yahoo to make 37%. Of course one doesn't need Yahoo to drive around.

FYI, if you're interested in some charts and graphs of some of the results of the 'war on poverty' and the scaling back of it:

The real problem is the unbroken cycle of politicians pandering to an ignorant and selfish electorate.

I think the real tragedy is not only that Republicans no longer try to implement smaller government...they no longer even talk about smaller government!

BINGO!!! They are not even pretending any more.

Perhaps we could get Mike Pence to run in 2008! There is a candidate I might be able to really get behind.

Agreed, but what is the chance that he will run?
