No wonder Thomas Jefferson himself said: Dissent is the greatest form of patriotism."
There are a number of quotes that we do not find in Thomas Jeffersons correspondence or other writings; in such cases, Jefferson should not be cited as the source. Among the most common of these spurious Jefferson quotes [is]:* "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."

Johnnie's at it again. Just doesn't have the smiley face like Billie to pull it off.
if questioned kerry would most likely ask you to define the word 'it' thereby pulling a jedi mind trick and appeasing his base.
Kerry's knowledge of history (and leading men in time of war) is pretty dismal.
Apparently not...and I posted in the wrong dang category...meant to put it in "News". :-(

Think Hillary, Dean and Kennedy love this one as well. . .of course. . .
Anytime someone quotes Jefferson, they are under suspicion. Mr. Jefferson was not playing with a full deck, as far as I'm concerned...
