Bush-Induced Tourrette's Syndrome Because after all... irrational hatred and an inability to control your own temper has to be someone else's fault.

I often wonder...which came first the liberalism or the mental illness? Does liberalism make one petty, small and immature or does the immaturity make one gravitate toward liberalism? That is a great question, especially for those of us who used to be Liberals..

Hey PJ, try to find one about Cynthia McKinney punching that cop. I bet they are making 100's of excuses for her. No bet. Check out this deranged DUmmie thread:
Dumba** officer is the one at fault. There's nothing that you can do if you have both the Right Wing and the Media against you.
You think this happens to the white guys?
I believe it was a setup. After appearing on the Carlyle Group video, I can see where they want her out of there.
This is nothing more than being elected while black.

Good job, you should be proud.

These people are hungry for power because power provides the self esteem and ego satisfaction they crave. They are not selfless. I bet you are a Thomas Sowell fan. Your post echoes one of his frequent themes. Dr. Sowell has written some great opinion pieces about liberals making themselves feel good at the expense of others, with minimal (if any) sacrifice on their own part. I too get so tired of liberals parading their supposed moral superiority...

" I bet you are a Thomas Sowell fan." While I have great respect for him and have read some of his writings, I don't follow him. What I wrote is simply my own opinion. Rush has also expressed similar idea over time. I don't think any of this is new.
Where I live (rural corn belt) we don't have that many liberals/leftists, so I don't have that many as acquaintances. Those I know, however, can be insufferably ignorant yet dogmatic on social/political issues (validating my point), yet friendly in a condescending way: The ego is alive and well in all of them. The most recent run in I had with an educator brought that out loud and clear. We no longer communicate after what I had to say to him in an email recently.

That kind of attitude is why I formulated "kevkrom's postulate" (see my profile page). Being smug, superior, and unwilling to consider that other people may reasonably believe differently are frequesnt signs I see in those on the left. To be sure, many on the right have the same flaws, but it seems that almost every leftist has these problems.

I read your profile page. It contains some interesting thoughts.
Most of the liberals/leftists I've encountered are/were academics. Others I believe simply fawn at the alter of their (academic) hubris. The academics are enamored with their education which they believe makes their opinion on things superior. Thus, if one disagrees, then one is beneath them. Those that fawn accept such a view as only right, since the academic by definition must be correct by stint of that education. It's all one self fulfilling circle. And the followers, being what they are, try to emulate the success of academia through the accession of power and prestige to themselves.
None of this in itself makes them mentally deficient. However, if one of some age has not outgrown their youthful quest for 'right' and 'equality', then that may point to some mental deficiency. That essentially is what I've been referring to in my posts.
I frankly deplore anyone who believes themselves above others. Being Christian, I believe we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. When I see others who disparage such notions I tune them out and go elsewhere. When they show a willingness to discuss issues on a rational level I then embrace them. I can't recall the last time that's happened, however.
Oh, well.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I am so afflicted. I told my dad a few weeks ago, when he was at my house watching the POS give a speech: "Turn it off. I hate him" dad: why? that is so silly, he's the president, you should at least respect the office. me: "This is my house, I don't want to hear or see that lying piece of shit in my house. He makes me want to vomit and shit at the same time. Turn it off now." If I were this Idiots father I would PIMP slap her, Leave her house and write her out of my will.

"Just in case you don't know, in Dummieland you are subject to close ideological scrutiny until you get up over a thousand posts. Then they relax a little on you. Before then a whiff of what they used to call in the Soviet Union "deviationism" will get you tombstoned."
When I briefly trolled at DU, I eventually got tired of lock-stepping with their narrow beliefs and decided to see how far I could push my limits before getting tombstoned. I actually had enough wiggle room to claim that I was a "pro-life liberal" and I argued that point and even defended conservatives on the issue) and the mods never did anything to me until I made some crack about Muslims one day.

Stinky the Clown only gets his news from The Comedy Channel, it's all beginning to come together for me now. I finally understand how these people became detached from realityThese people would be more informed if they stopped getting their news from CNNABCCBSNBC and the Comedy Channel, and tuned in the Cartoon Network instead....
