Re: Lost Principles Hotel
Dear Starwood Hotels,
I'm the guy that organized the campaign to try to take the home of Supreme Court Justice David Souter using his own vote in favor of eminent domain. Perhaps you heard of it. If not please Google "Lost Liberty Hotel." This was covered by nearly every media outlet in the nation. Over one million people visited my website (FreestarMedia.com) as part of this project.
Now, I'm planning a world-wide boycott of all Starwood hotel brands unless you pull out of the Hollywood and Vine development.
I have not yet started this call for a boycott. It would be a good idea for someone from your company to call me to discuss this. If I don't hear from you in the next few days I will start the boycott by contacting blogs and talk radio hosts. Soon it will spread over the internet and perhaps on to cable television. I appeared four times on Hannity & Colmes, and also on CNN, MSNBC, CourtTV and ABC Nightline with my Souter project.
I have already reserved the domain name http://www.lostprincipleshotel.com Which will be used to expand the boycott unless you pull out of the Hollywood and Vine development.
In 2004 I called for boycotts against Burlington Coat Factory for selling Che Guevara shirts and people showed up in both Los Angeles and Miami to protest Burlington and it made national news. I doubt anyone of Cuban ancestry will spend money with Burlington after that.
However, many more people are upset by the theft-by-government which goes under than banner "eminent domain". You are on the wrong side of this issue. Please contact me so we can decide if your company will be a hero like BB&T Bank or a villain. I am making a feature length movie about eminent domain abuse so I need to know what side to put your company on: hero or villain.

What am I missing?
Professional activist at work?
I wonder how many other companies and orgs. receive letters like this on a daily basis? I like what this guy is trying to do but, it will most likely get lost among the other protest letters and e-mails.
Why? Is there a purpose?
Starwood hotels is taking part in a development that involves the government taking land by eminent domain from its rightful owners. I just posted links to the story on my website (http://www.freestarmedia.com). The politicians have big political machines to protect themselves from fallout but companies like Starwood are concerned about their image in the eyes of the public. We might not be able to stop the politican's land-grab plans directly but perhaps we can foil the theft by getting the would-be beneficiaries of the theft to back out.
Thank you.
