I know this is a long post and lots of info... but I hope you all take the time to start serving in juries and encouraging others to do the same...

I wouldn't want my jury to be filled with people with a 7th grade education.....

Our courts are going ot the toilet because we have Toilet Trolls on the juries!

It is our CIVIL DUTY to serve.

It used to be very easy to "escape" jury duty in New Jersey until recently. Now, it's very difficult to be excused and I imagine that's a good thing.

They prosecutors tend to look for DUmocrats and Independents for jury duty....if you registered as a Republican, chances are you won't be called.

The last jury panel I was on, I got tossed because it turned out my ex-wife had clerked for the prosecutor.

The TEN COMMANDMENTS represent GOD'S GOVERNMENT OVER MAN! GOD commands us for our own good to give up wrongs and not rights! HIS system always results in LIBERTY and FREEDOM! The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are built on this foundation, which provides for punitive justice. It is not until one damages another's person or property that he can be punished. The Marxist system leads to bondage and GOD'S system leads to LIBERTY! Read very carefully:

1. Thou Shalt have no other gods before Me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord

thy God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath to keep it Holy.
5. Honor thy father and mother. 6. Thou shalt not murder.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false

witness.
10. Thou shalt not covet.

We can ALWAYS trust that God is right, because God HATES EVIL. That's why he kicked Lucifer out of heaven. He GAVE Lucifer(satan) his own home(hell). EVIL cannot co-exist with God...

The problem with Grand Juries is they are told that they are the boss but then tell you that you should really vote for indictment because they wouldn't have brought the evidence to the jury if they didn't think they could already make the case.

In one case, early on in my service, they were asking for a young, probable drug dealer. They were asking for an assault on a Federal Officer indictment because they had messed up. The only charge they had on him were careless and reckless driving. Most everyone on the jury was going to give them the indictment and I fought against it. It was a ridiculous charge. I won and they were upset but, oh well.

For some sole proprietors, jury duty presents a major hardship, especially with a long trial. This imbalance needs to be addressed to insure an educated and competent jury pool.

Re: civil justice reform, a solution to adjudicating complicated questions of science by the present "dog and pony show" ( John Edwards fetal channeling a case in point) would be the establishment of 'Medical Courts' similar to Tax Courts, which would be less susceptible to the emotionality of medmal cases. Until something is done to rectify the situation in the med mal arena, cost-containment will NEVER be achieved. Rather, shortages of certain specialties, eg No Obstetricians in six counties in NY State, will continue to impede patient access to quality care. I agree with your antagonism to caps, which in my mind is but a stop-gap rather than a solution. Thank you for bringing these questions to the public forum.
