You're not the grassroots, you're the Moonbat Wing. Dems in congress know that censuring POTUS would hand the mid-terms to us on a silver platter. Please try harder. Call your Congress-critter, froth at the mouth, demand censure, demand impeachments, hold rallies and shout your posion from the rooftops. Please.

I hear no clamoring for a floor debate by the dems. On the other hand, a parlimentary requirement for a formal censure vote would certainly invoke debate as a prelude to the actual vote.

Mr. President, I think this subject matter is worthy of debate, but notwithstanding my experience of debating, I don't think I can debate without someone to debate with. Every once in a while Snarlen surprises me. I was shocked when I heard Specter say that and then I realized that I was shocked b/c I think of him as a Democrat...for a second I couldn't figure out why a Democrat (other than Liberman) would say something like that and then I snapped out of it and realized 'Oh it is my very own Rino Specter'. silly me.

1. Ok, it's a nit-pick, but the proper adjective is "Democrat", not "Democratic". Acceptable substitutes are "Communist", "Socialist", "Un-American", or "Moron".

2. The Republicans would not have "ripped of his head", etc., if a Democrat President had properly used the powers of his office to defend the country from an external threat.

3. Of course, this assumes that the Republicans in question would have not dropped dead from shock at actually seeing that happen. Who was the last Democrat President to actually deal with U.S. foreign policy/domestic security properly? Truman?

DUmmie math. The idiots think that if Bush has only a 36% approval rating, that must mean that the other 64% agree with them. It has never occured to them that a very large chunk of that 64% are unhappy that Bush isn't doing enough, not that they disagree with what he's done.

Of course, "36%" is a lie, too, when you look at the poll's internals, but that's another set of fallacies to deal with.

Specter's an odd duck. He's far closer to the Democrats than the Republicans in philosophy, but he also holds no truck whatsoever with idiocy. He took charge in the Alito hearings not so much because he was supporting Alito, but because the 'rats in the committee were acting like spoiled brats and challenging his position. Feingold's juvenile "censure" attempt likely ticked off the old goat in a similar manner.

The (R)'s did not raise a crap stink when MyHappyPants actually searched the premises of a US citizen without a warrent. We tend to understand when certain measures are beneficial.

You are correct, as both Jimmuh, and MrHappyPants stuck their heads in the sand when anything of any security import raised it's head, other than the above mentioned incident of 'illegial' search.
