HOLYOKE, Mass. -- Haleigh Poutre's birth mother is expected to file a court motion seeking more of a say in her daughter's medical care.
Allison Avrett plans to appear in Holyoke Juvenile Court on Wednesday.
Haleigh, 12, has been hospitalized since police say her adoptive mother and stepfather severely beat her in September.
About a week after taking custody of the Westfield girl in September, the Department of Social Services sought permission to remove her from life support.

But it was true. The soldiers in the White Rose group had seen the end. Even as Giesler spoke, the whole eastern front was crumbling in the last days of the Battle of Stalingrad. A few days later, von Paulus's entire army had to surrender. They were starved, frozen and all shot to pieces. After that pivotal and overwhelming defeat, Germany had nothing left capable of stopping the massed Soviet forces advancing on Berlin.
Small wonder the White Rose students were executed so quickly. Germany could not afford to hear the truth. I believe the White Rose actually helped to shorten the war and to save many lives.
I quit reading halfway through, but it confirms my thoughts on Scientology. Jim Jones, and the Nike sneaker bunch(Hale Bop?) don't have jack on them. Maybe we should keep Katie Holmes in our thoughts and prayers.
The sheer number of deaths listed on that website is nuts. Where is law enforcement???
Re: Why We Act. Conyers is just a typical Democrat, and maybe a "fellow traveler". Life is not a popularity contest, and I'm as stubborn as they come. I'd rather stand up as best I can for what I believe in, than be popular. Maybe Mr. Conyers might want to explore that approach.
On the rooftops around Woodside Hospice.
Just between you and I, I am still a little steamed that Gibbs called the FBI on the Michigan Militia.
The day that Terri died, there was a person from Washington, D.C. who asked us to take down the signs about Jeb and about Judge Greer. Like that was going to happen.
The erasure of Terri's state sponsored murder started on the date of her death. They couldn't wait to shut up Americans exercising their free speech rights right after Terri died. I mean, it was only a half an hour after she passed and D.C. wanted us to pretend that nothing happened. Sure nothing happened.
Post 63. Is that not purposeful activity? Of course it is. Terri was murdered.
Terri's mom's last mother's day w/Terri was in 2003 thanks to the Clearwater PD working for Greer and Michael S.
Clearwater PD are thick as thieves with Greer and the other corrupt judges in Pinellas-Pasco. They even laughed at Terri at a Rotary Luncheon (the Clearwater PD that is).

You're right FV. All subpoenas issued were cancelled due to 'recent developments'. Lets move on....
Inside story: spinal muscular atrophy
Doctors want to let a disabled baby die, on the ground that his existence will be intolerable. But who are they to judge quality of life, argues Spike Breakwell, who was also written off as a child
-snip-
Theres a 17-month-old lad, named baby MB, whose parents are going through the courts at the moment on his behalf. He has SMA. The doctors caring for him want to withdraw his life support as they suspect that his quality of life will be intolerable. His parents, somewhat understandably, dont want them to do this.

When a doctor makes a mistake, the patient dies. When an abortionist makes a mistake, the patient lives. Gianna Jessen was aborted by saline solution but lived to tell the story -- and what a story it is!
The doctor told Penny [foster mother] that she should give up on the thought of Jessen progressing beyond a vegetative state.
"Doesn't this language sound strangely familiar?" Jessen asked. "Didn't we hear the same language over and over last March in regards to a woman named Terri Schiavo?
"So my point being ... we cannot take the lives of weak people just because they make us uncomfortable," she said. "Just maybe those weak people might be forcing us to deal with the issues in our own souls."
Jessen explained how she could relate to Schiavo, who survived for 13 days after being deprived of food and water, because Jessen had the same will to live as a struggling infant.
"When you want to live, you fight," Jessen said. "The person, whether or not she can speak, is speaking volumes by the fact that she will not give in to death .... [So] this has gotten me thinking about why in the world we are so eager to end the lives of weak people...."
The same condition was diagnosed when I was younger, although, in fact, I never had the exact condition that baby MB has. What actually made me disabled was the oral polio vaccine I had when I was 4 months old (Im now 37). My problem is that my muscles have atrophied, the root cause being in the spine.
On another topic, the survivor of abortion is in the news again...
A Near-Death Experience
Jessen is an abortion survivor who now spends her life speaking up for the speechless. She was invited to meet the president on August 5, 2002, as a result of her standing before Congress and testifying on behalf of the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act that Bush signed into law that day.

DUBLIN, Ireland, Mar. 10 /Christian Wire Service/ -- The Fourth International Conference Life and the Family, being held in Dublin, Ireland, is now just two weeks away. Amazing speakers have all confirmed their attendance and are looking forward to this exciting opportunity to meet supporters of life and family from around the world.
This years conference will also focus on issues facing families, parents and young people today. One of the most inspiring speakers will be Brandi Swindell, who has long been a campaigner for the rights of the unborn. Brandi will speak on one of the hardest and most pressing issues to face young people today; chastity.
I met and helped Brandi Swindell and friends at Pinellas Park and was amazed that such a young and pleasant lady could be so packed with energy and talent. She has carried her efforts to success untiringly.
She is the kind of success that must make the feminists wince.
