I thought the original thread was appalling til I read your link to the follow-up. They actually think that someone posted on DU for over a year, donated to the site, said they were being deployed, came back months later...all as a FR stunt. Pathetic. I bet that Sad Little Pony is a bit sadder now.

Did you notice that one who calls him/herself dogday said that the Marine was a liar because the soldiers aren't allowed to eat Iraqi food? Small problem: I did a news story last year about a local Guard unit that was deployed to Iraq, and they ate Iraqi food all the time.
