This article is pure nonsense and was probably influenced by the wacko leftists like Hillary and Dean.

The security of our ports is not threatened by this deal. If Middle Eastern Countries were a threat, then why hasn't Kuwait done anything as they own one of the port companies?

This is a brilliant political move by Bush to strengthen our alliance with a key ally in the war on terror.

All conservatives do the President a disservice by regurtitaging the lefty talking points.

I encourage everyone to write and call the president and tell him to stand firm on this deal no matter what the lieberal media and their polls lie about.

I fail to see the significance of a financial derivative for World Domination just because it happens to conform to the Koran? The problem only comes in when they try to tell me my interest-bearing bank CD is no good.

And owning port terminals in the US or anywhere else becomes lost money if it threatens security. They can't take it with them anywhere. Dubai is not necessarily to own.

How hard will it be to smuggle in nuclear warhead when the enemy that has declared war on us, and struck first in our own soil is given their own ports on our shore.

How hard would Normandy be if the Nazi's had allowed us to just build a port on the beach?

What, we want the Muslims to win so bad we not only fight with our hand tied behind our back, but we send all our tax money to them to rebuild their arms?

The truth of the matter is Biblical, Don't you know that the lender owns the borrower and will some day come to collect? We have made our selves rich with debt and are now going to have to pay the cost. China owns the Canal and the Muzzi's oil has bought them our shipping interests while Japan owns our steel.

I suggest that America takes a good look in the mirror, and considers working themselves out of the debt that they have built as a inheritance for their children. We took the 50's mentality of passing on the family farm to mortgaging the family farm to live in pleasure now. In one generation we went from a God centered prosperous people to a self centered nation of God less debtors.

I would say we owe God an apology.

I am strongly opposed to the UAE running our ports for security reasons.

Nevertheless there is a fallacy in this article. Arabs owning assets in the US is a double edged sword. The freeze on Iranian assets is the model here.
