"I wonder if its even repairable." I'm no mechanic but IIRC this is a mid-engine design and the damage, although extensive would probably be repairable considering the value of the asset being restored.

Others with more knowledge might disagree and you are advised to listen to them.

Since it's a mid-engine design, the damage is mostly to the body and front suspension/steering. Probably not to bad to repair, if he can get replacement parts.
