The ultimate irony: The reason Hackett was asked to drop out was in order to avoid a nasty fight between Brown and Hackett and spare the voters and embarressment to the Democratic Party.... And here we have a fight and embarressment to the Dem Party anyway....

[The more Democrats try to FIX things, the more BROKEN they become.]

If there was ever any better object lesson as to the Democrats always getting the opposite result to their stated intent, I'd like to hear of it. This is getting to be classic.

And fact # 2 is that the same people who asked. Hackett into the race under cut him once he was in. Chuck Schummer take your bow.

I'm sorry, Senator Schumer is unavailble right now as he is busy going over illegally-obtained credit reports on GOP candidates.

The political whores that make up the DLC have the blood of Hackett's murdered campaign all over them.

Would this be anything like "found laying on a ditch, hands tied behind the back, a bullet shot to the back of the head"?

Has anyone found the Hackett meltdown on hardball from monday yet?

I checked Politcal Teen (Expose the Left) and some other places last night and this a.m. and they didn't have it up yet, but I heard it was worth watching.

They tossed Paul Hackett faster than an overseas military ballot. Schumer and Reid put a knife in Hatred-Powered Howard's back on this one. My guess is that the DUmmies will invent some story about DeWine being cruel to bunnies (forgetting that one attempted to assassinate Pres. Jimmah) and have all the same Charlie Browns lined up to kick the football again.

I SHOT THE SHERROD
Tune: "I Shot the Sheriff"

I shot the Sherrod, but I did not shoot the Dem Party.
I shot the Sherrod, but I did not shoot the Dem Party.

All around in DUmmieland
They're howling to beat the band.
They say they want to bring me in guilty
For the killing of the Dem Party,
For the life of the Dem Party.
But I say:

I shot the Sherrod, but I swear it was in self-defense.
I shot the Sherrod, and they say it is a Capitol offense.

Sherrod A. Brown tried to swiftboat me--
For what, I don't know.
Every time that I plant a tree,
He said, "Hack it before it grows."
He said, "Hack it before it grows."
I say:

I shot the Sherrod, but I swear it was in self-defense.
I shot the Sherrod, but I swear it was in self-defense.

Hardball came my way one day,
And I started to expound.
All of a sudden I think, "Sherrod A. Brown,
Running my boat aground."
So I shot, I shot him down.
I say:

I shot the Sherrod, but I did not shoot the Dem Party.
I shot the Sherrod, but I did not shoot the Dem Party.

Chris Matthews got the better of me,
And what is to be must be.
Every time Paul Hackett goes on TV--
Well, one day loose cannons will go off.
Yes, one day loose cannons will go off.
But I say:

I shot the Sherrod, but I did not shoot the Dem Party.
I shot the Sherrod, but I did not shoot the Dem Party. . . .

I did, and to Paul Shanklin, too. But as I've said before, PJ, I don't think they use outside writers.

If he keeps this up, he's going to sink Brown's campaign.

Brown's campaign was at the bottom of the ocean before he set sail. DeWine was not going to lose the election regardless of who the dems put up. That the race was even considered a close one indicated to me that there would be little change in Senate numbers.
