A few thoughts. First off if I were Hackett (who I think served in Iraq) I would run as an independent. If he is the brave fighting man leftwing nut that everyone thinks he won't take this lying down. Fight! Start the Moonbat Party of Ohio and run for the Senate on your own. If you are a brave fighting man fight that "sonvabitch" Schumer.

Now for a reality check.
Hackett's results in the Congressional election were the result of an off year special election and the pissed off GOP rank and file in Ohio at the corrupt Taft and the Rino Voinavich rhymes with "sonvabitch". That is why it was as close as it was and the lady who ran wasn't exactly Ronald Reagan. So in reality this is a good move by the Dems, Hackett had no chance of winning. He is a moonbat who could have easily been shown as such by DeWine and all his money. They didn't exactly replace Hackett with a stellar candidate in Browne but the Dem party in Ohio is weak which is good for DeWine because he is a flip flopper and deserves a good race. He will win by about five points.

The Democrat Party can't win these races until they stop being the defense attorney for Islamists and offer no plan on any issue that wasn't written in 1972.

There you have it.

Hackett was supposed to be "swift boated" by the Republicans. What happened??
Could it be statements like this:
The Republican Party has been hijacked by religious fanatics, who are out of touch with mainstream America. Think of the recent comments by Pat Robertson – a religious fanatic by any measure – that the United States should assassinate a democratically elected leader in Venezuela, and that Ariel Sharon’s stroke was divine punishment because Sharon wished to trade land for peace.

Since the Republican Party has been utterly unable to stand for something positive, they have created an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, and have pandered to religious fanatics not to vote for something they believe in, but to vote against their fellow Americans with whom they disagree. Those among us who would use religion and politics to divide rather than unite Americans should be ashamed.

Is it just I, or is the announcement of James Webb to run for Senate in VA and the dumping of Hackett in Ohio have an interesting correlation?

In the zero sum gain of politics, does one think that Reid, et al, removed their support for Hackett because they thought Webb had a better chance of winning and would rather throw their support at a legitimate scholarly combat decorated war veteran who also served as SecNav as opposed to Hackett who had faithful, yet, less noteworthy service.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Oops! Actually I did find a DUmmie thread on this with just TWO replies and one of those replies was deleted. So really only one reply. Methinks the DUmmies are shell shocked on this topic but it should be interesting. Waiting for it to develop.

Then he's stupid.
