Cartoons were Published Five Months ago in Egypt

The whole world is mesmerized by this big campaign against Denmark. I have mentioned before that an Egyptian newspaper published the Danish Cartoons from Jyllands-Posten. Why after five months the feelings of the Egyptians and Muslims are suddenly inflamed? I am trying to get images for the reportage, but here are the details of this paper for those who can check it:

Name: Al Fager ÇáÝÌÑ
Editor-in-Chief: Adel Hamouda ÚÇÏá ÍãæÏÉ
Edition/issuance no. #: 21
Date: 17 October 2005, Hijri (Islamic Calendar) 14 Ramadan 1425
Reporters: Youssra Zahran and Ahmed Abdel Maksoud
íÓÑÇ ÒåÑÇä æÃÍãÏ ÚÈÏ ÇáãÞÕæÏ
Pages: Front & 17 for details and images
The headline in Arabic said : ÇáæÞÇÍÉ ÇáãÓÊãÑÉ. ÇáÓÎÑíÉ ãä ÇáÑÓæá æÒæÌÇÊå ÈÇáßÇÑíßÇÊíÑ
Translation: Continued Boldness. Mocking the Prophet and his wife by Caricature.

The Egyptian paper critcized the bad taste of the cartoons but it did not incite hatred protests, so what is happening now? BTW, it is not my idea to bring the details of this Egyptian paper, it is Gateway Pundit’s. I think it is important to reveal that the timing of this outrage is irrelevant. It would have been better that this holy war against Denmark be launched during the holy month of Ramadan as many Muslims believe that Jihad during Ramadan would have been more worthy.

This irrelevant outrage timing is but a sign that this violent response to the cartoons is politically-motivated by Muslim extremists in Europe and the so-called secular governments of the Middle East. I want also to mention that despite the fact that all editors who tried to reprint the cartoons in the Middle East nowadays were arrested, the Egyptian editors went unharmed. I will try to get the pages of the paper scanned.

Egypt's ambassador said Friday that Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen's response to the Muhammad drawings controversy has been inadequate, and that the country should do more to 'appease the whole Muslim world.' I linked to this website from another blog called Gateway Pundit but this information is very interesting on how it ties into the post yesterday about the Danish Muslims who started this whole thing.

I wonder if Pat Buchanan wants to revise his theory about how this is all the fault of the Danish...

When this is added to the story that additional cartoons showing Muhammed having sex with an animal and with a pig nose or whatever were added to the original cartoons by Muslims trying to stir up the masses, the larger picture becomes a bit clearer, doesn't it?

The mistake many make in dealing with these people is that they take them at face value. They think they are really really upset about cartoons and to appease them on this will solve the problem, at least for now. But it's just a prop in their real war. They hate pretty much everyone -- but especially Israel -- and they will riot and murder as long as they have breath. That's it. They were raised on that "ethic." Cartoons or no cartoons. Land or no land. Or whatever else their prop for the moment is. They hate everyone (even each other at times). There is nothing that will appease them short of total conversion. That's where Ann Coulter was right.

Heard his remarks on Hannity's radio show today. This nut is past his prime and has reached the level of Carter. Both nuts.

It is interesting to note that the article states the least amount of rioting happened in Iraq.

Why?

My thoughts...Iraqis are actually working at building a life. They actually have lives to live.

It appears to me that 10s of thousands of Islamic men are ADDICTED to waiting out the next reason to riot, pillage, complain, whine and be upset about anything...THEY HAVE NO LIFE!!!

Here is a question:

How are they different than Bloods and Crips?

American gangs are full of idle, demented young men and women who will kill you for either two bucks, or just because you looked at them the wrong way.

Sounds like Islamic terrorists to me...instead of two bucks or a look...it is just "because"...even more senseless.

Kind of like...who do we kill next? Let's wait till this afternoon, I need to eat right now.

Yeah,
You see some of the same things in those situations.

It's true-- if you're busy, working, striving towards or creating something postive, you don't have time or desire for that kind of destruction.

This is a good example of why posting in bloggers and personal can be a death sentence for a post. It has now been 2 days since this story was posted and it has a grand total of . . . 96 views. But apparently it is worth more than that -- GOP.com is running it today as its lead story with its link going to Andrew Sullivan. So it looks like now, 2 days later, it will become a big talking point.

(However it does demonstrate that once again FR posters are ahead of the curve.) Thanks areafiftyone.
