Yeeeeee- Mahdi!!
What can one say of a religion that appears to have incorporated their own version of the 'Turner Diaries' into their articles of faith?
Geee, wonder what they are smoking over there?
Crack a history book - any history book - and it's immediately clear there has never been a shortage of nut cases. The Mahdi will descend from a UFO in purple silks and a turban, electric guitar in hand, crooning in Bantu, and lead millions in tinfoil hats to regiments of virgins in veils. Next.

Sounds like a "Parliament-Funkadelic and the P-Funk Allstars" tribute band to me.
I'm the mahdi, Now you must give me all your goats or die!

I calmly assert that I am the Easter Bunny.
I will appear to my people in April.
Golly,
Sounds like some folks I know.
"False Prophet" is what springs to mind. This is what you get when both Islamists AND the morally bereft left wish for Armageddon NOW. Both sides think that when Christianity is destroyed and the world made over, things will be a lot easier....though they believe for very different reasons. Muslims want the resurrection of the Caliphate, while the left just wants power. Guess which one will be left if it comes to that?
sounds like someone has been reading the DUNE books again
Muaddib?
A historical figure named Mohammed Achmed, who lived in the Sudan during the 1880s described himself as the Mahdi. He started a holy war against the Egyptians. He died unexpectedly with no known cause a few months after defeating a great British General at the siege of Khartoum. You could say that he was a false prophet since his holy war eventually went nowhere.
For The Forum...
An earlier story about The Mahdi...it's good but could do with a remake.
But don't expect today's Hollywood to do it, without revisionism:

LOL, same idea ... same picture.
