TMK Proved They Are Ready And Capable To Develop Themselves Trans. B. Sylejmani Prishtina, 27 Jan (Radio Kosova)
TMK proved once again that they are ready and capable to develop themselves in front of the world, said the UNMIK Coordinator for TMK, the British General Jamey Belford, who is completing his mission in Kosova. In a farewell ceremony organized by TMK, General Belford advised TMK members to continue their contribution in a future democratic and multiethnic Kosova the same way they proved with the implementation of the 8th standard.
2006 will really be a year of changes, while I hand over my duties of TMK Coordinator at the times when talks for the future status are underway. Congratulations on what you have achieved, especially to those of you that showed to the world on Thursday that TMK is ready and capable to develop itself in the most important event in Kosova since 1999. If you challenge the future in the same way by looking ahead and in a professional manner, then achievements and your aspirations for the future have more chances to be accepted, General Belford said.
TMK Commander Lieutenant General Agim Çeku said that General Belford was one of the protagonists of the TMK achievements and that many of these successes carry his signature. Therefore, it was a great honor to have him a TMK administrator.
UNMIK Chief Søren Jessen Petersen thanked TMK members for their work in the burial ceremony of President Ibrahim Rugova. I was greatly surprised by the TMK contribution which in dignifying manner proved itself on Thursday. I thank them for this, Petersen said. He also commended work of TMK for the fulfilling of the 8th standard.
Standard 8th has reached the highest level of implementation. I would like to thank TMK for this and General Belford for his work for cooperation with TMK, Petersen said.
The British Major General Kris Stan will be the new UNMIK Coordinator for TMK.
